Yesterday afternoon in-situ simulations in critical care using SimMom, the first was a patient admitted due asthma breathing difficulties resulting in a cardiac arrest and an emergency c-section. The second was Post partum haemorrhage. @QEMedEducation #simtech

Todays A+E in-situ sim was a 4 year old suffering febrile convulsions. The team worked swiftly to prescibe lorazepam. Support was provided by anaesthetics to maintain the patients airway with a plan to CT scan and transfer the patient. Well done all. @QEMedEducation #simtech

Todays insitu Sim was delivered in radiology. 73 year old patient in for a bilateral iliac arterial angioplasty. The team were able to identify when the blood pressure started dropping. Well done to all that were involved. @QEMedEducation @NEsimulation #simtech

Todays in-situ sim was in Critical Care, the patient was a 69 Yr old, admitted with hypotension. Flucloxacilin prescribed to treat cellulitis, suffers allergic reaction resulting in anaphylaxis. Well done to the Critical care team involved. @QEMedEducation #simtech

Todays a+e in-situ sim was a 8 year old trauma, child on bicycle hit by car, injuries to head injury, left side rib fracture and left femur fracture. Child was fetch to our a+e due to divert, the team had stabilise the patient ready for appropriate transfer. @QEMedEducation
