Unfortunately, #Excel doesn't give you a direct way to read what a timeline or slicer is currently filtering. You can't just reference it with a formula. But @kpuls has a clever workaround using a second, hidden #PivotTable connected to the same timeline. 😉

Still clicking that expand button in Power Query? It works, but it hardcodes all column names. If your source tables change, things break. There’s a cleaner way to expand tables dynamically and even add a custom column for the table name. No hardcoding, no manual renaming. Just one neat step that does it all. Once you use it, you won’t go back. {M}joy!

When importing CSV files with a date-time field, #PowerQuery can't convert directly to a date type. It throws an error unless you: 1️⃣Convert to date-time 2️⃣Add a step to strip the time @kpuls confirmed for a student that there's no shortcut to eliminate this two-step dance. 👢🎵
