What an incredible day we had at the Social Coding x Merchants Youth Day event! We hosted 20 rural learners from Limpopo The students demonstrated the incredible skills they have learned through Social Coding over the past 12 months, to build and code working lego robots!

As promised, this month is actioned-packed with Youth activities, set to kick off on our day; Youth Day! Keep an eye on all our social media platforms next week for live coverage of our Youth Day Robotics event in partnership with Merchants, happening on their campus in Jhb!

As we celebrate and commemorate Youth Month, we will be delving into activities and workshops that seek to immerse our youth in all the offerings the digital world has to offer! From Coding workshops and Youth-based initiatives we cannot wait to celebrate youth month with you!

We’ve added another graduate to the @Boxfusion_sa team! This time it’s Machoene Emmanuel Moichela from the University of Limpopo. Machoene joins us as a Software Engineer intern, and he hopes to learn how to develop applications during his time with us.

Ndoni, there was so much you were yet to do. I’m so heartbroken by this news. Thank you for sharing your light and vision with us. You really were a role model for me and many other young women who chose the path to social development. Rest easy knowing you walked your TALK 🕊

As we welcome our 2022 cohort of new facilitators we’d like to thank our partners @merchantscx for providing NQF5 Accredited training for each facilitator over the next 4 months, ensuring they are well equipped to teach and empower the beneficiaries of their community. #Inclusion

PwC found that learners trained with VR were up to 275% more confident to act on what they learned after training—a 40% improvement over in-person classroom learning, and a 35% improvement over eLearning.

And day 1 of our 2022 new school recruitment starts today! We’re excited to embark on a 6 week journey of visiting 35 new rural schools and get them on board with 1 of our computer science and coding programs! #DigitalInclusion #RuralEmpowerment

We're honoured to have been the training delivery partner for the Forestry and Agricultural Biotechnology Institute's (FABI) small scale farmers workshop. It was such a joy to witness these farmers learn to use technology in a way that could lead to better farming & income
