I have lost count of the number of times Hamas has offered to release all hostages in exchange for an end to Israel’s assault on Gaza. They have renewed that offer, and Israel is once again refusing.

This morning, people in Gaza were left to gather the charred remains of those incinerated by Israel's bombs at Al-Tabi’in. Since bodies cannot be normally recovered, people have been collecting groups of 70 kilograms of dismembered and unrecognizable body parts. Each 70 kilograms is considered the weight of one person. How are we supposed to recover from this?
