@theactorbat !!! i read that fic not long after it was posted and genuinely loved it. people are fine with shane being “bitchy” (which often just means being outright mean) but the second ilya’s behavior reflects actual, messy side effects of depression/medication it’s “too much” or “ooc”

the reason hrtwt loves the idea of shane harming ilya but rejects the reverse is cus the fandom genders them through top/bottom coding, so violence from shane to them is “rebalancing” masculinity. yet again heteronormativity shaping what dynamics are allowed, even in a queer ship
