Appointed on the advice of a PM who shut down Parliament to avoid being removed 👀 He wasn’t elected and THEN became PM. He became PM and THEN won an election he called himself. The leadership race that chose him? 151,899 people. 0.38% of the country. Registration was free. First PM in Canadian history with zero prior elected experience — not a seat, not a cabinet post.
