oh absolutely going back to Meno i feel like vergere would agree with the methods used to guide the uneducated slave boy but not the conclusion. vergere to me feels like a refutation of plato in the way only someone who understands it can make

@theunifyingfork Idk if this makes sense but, Vergere’s focus on the internal Force rather than the external one, feels very similar to what a rejection of the Theory of Forms would look like.

using the socratic method and even the direct parallels to the allegory of the cave as a framework to disagree is truly based and philosophy pilled- earlier you mentioned aristotle and his criticisms of his teacher are relevant here, especially in regards to change
