Iranian here. Where was the Holy Father's compassion when tens of thousands of my fellow Iranians were being slaughtered? Was our blood not worth a single prayer or statement? It seems the Vatican's concern is selective, reserved only for political posturing against certain politicians. My lifelong belief in the kindness and humanitarian outlook of the Christian faith has been shattered by this Pope's profound indifference and purely political statements.
