While I really believe in all the potential with AI and everything (I've got my Skynet shirt ready); one of the biggest things that I give pause to is how all the cryptobros jumped over to the AI bandwagon faster than they created memecoins.

This is a little premature to post, but because it's exciting (to me anyway), I wanted to share: I'm building ConsensysPrime.com , an alternative to Usercentrics/Cookiebot, etc. etc. Yes, it's one of those wonderful things that pops up and asks if you want to have some cookies, and after you've had some cookies and shared them - what do you want to do with them -- things. The reason: Everything out there in this area sucks and costs you an arm and a leg. Yet _all_ website/app owners are supposed to be compliant with GDPR and similar laws around the world. Are you set to handle Data Service Requests? Heck, most of my sites don't even have a "would you like a cookie?" popup because the solutions out there are expensive and don't do a whole lot (and I'm not collecting data...like I should be). I've still got a lot of debugging, QA, and polish to do on it, but as someone who's passionate about marketing, I think this is an important project for the web, and for me.

I promised my brother that I'd have a little something to do website monitoring. Enter: metalmonitoring.com Not only does it monitor the sites, but if something is wrong (especially systematically), it uses AI to tell you what's up in plain English. Now, I've just started with it, but you can expect that there to be more features, such as monitoring for changes - even on other people's webpages. There's a free trial period - let me know what you think! Hope you like where it's headed!

Most founders and builders I know spend their day in a CLI. Some have moved to Cursor or other IDEs. But do we really think non-technical people will ever use those tools? Probably not. Huge consumer markets ahead. But what’s their ideal interface?

New post from Joe Mullin, EFF's Sr. Policy Analyst: Publishers say they’re blocking the Internet Archive because they fear AI scraping. This is a misguided notion: it won’t stop AI, but it will erase the web’s historical record. @EFF has the story ⤵️ eff.org/deeplinks/2026… #DigitalPreservation @WaybackMachine

@GearoidReidy There's government subsidies behind these sort of things and the amount of retraining that people need is jaw-dropping.

I was only using CodeRabbit for their CLI access to review my junk code. They pulled it out of their monthly payments to a per-file-review "pay-as-you-go" pricing model. They tried to say it's "unlimited" and amazing in their blog post, but... no - I can see straight through that. Bye-bye, CodeRabbit. 🐰 coderabbit.ai/blog/introduci…

I built a real-time emotion detector that runs 3 AI models in your browser simultaneously. No server, no API calls, $0/month hosting. It's themed after Blade Runner's Voight-Kampff test. Try it 👉 v-k.tyrellnexus.com AI wrote all the code 🤖

Every builder knows this moment — when one chapter closes and the next one is already pulling you forward. But before I look ahead, this post is for the people who trusted me with years of their careers and believed in what we were building. After 7.5 years building Digital Will Inc., I've made the difficult decision to wind down the company. What started as a simple digital marketing and consulting company based in Japan (what I would call the Digital Will Inc. years) blossomed into something bigger - Wortal.AI. It stood for being an equalizer in gaming and apps - to bring the power of international and multi-/cross-channel gaming into the hands of everyone across the world. This wasn't a problem you could throw an LLM at and call it done — it required deep platform integrations, real partnerships, and years of domain knowledge. We built this lean, mostly bootstrapped and self-funded — and I'm immensely proud of what the team accomplished under those constraints. Everyone evolved to learn new things, adapt, and remain flexible as we remained in a time and environment of constant aggressive change. I'm thankful for everyone who believed in us - even a little bit: employees, contractors, partners, and most importantly - our families. What Wortal set out to do was not an evolution but a revolution, and I think it inspired those who were smart enough to see what we were doing and the direction we were headed. The technology and IP we built — including Wortal's platform and our game portfolio — represent real value, and I want to make sure they find the right home. If you or anyone in your network might be interested, I'd be happy to connect you with the team handling the process from here. I've learned a lot from the experience and grown immensely, both professionally and personally. And if you'll indulge a Blade Runner moment: "I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. [...]" -- Roy Batty from Blade Runner Except these things won't be forgotten, and only make me stronger, just as I know it has for my colleagues. The experiences were made to be built upon. One thing I've learned, and learned deeply, is that leadership comes from within - our execution, our discipline, the respect we show others. Everything was built from 0 -> 1. And so here we go again. Sleeves rolled up, and ready to jump in and make way for the future, whether it be 0 -> 1 or 1 -> 5,000,000, or anywhere in-between and beyond. My value set remains unchanged - I'm here to get things done and help others.

Continuing with my @Windows 10 conversation and the machine I was using: - It died. The mobo/processor decided to eat it, and it won't POST, even with CMOS/BIOS resets. Maybe it was too old. I need a new desktop computer for home for me to work and (maybe someday) play games and relax. So, I decided on an @Alienware / @Alienware_JP Area-51 from @Dell / @Dell_JPN , which I customized to my liking (almost - they only offer @intel processors). I paid for the thing using my US credit card and - get this - they asked via e-mail - (and I quote): "Thank you for ordering our products. Your order number is 1234567891, and we are currently processing it. However, the credit card used for this order was issued overseas and cannot be verified in Japan, so we need proof of ownership. We kindly request that you attach the following three items to this email reply and respond by the deadline: • A photo of the credit card with the card number on the surface • A photo of the front side of your identification card (driver's license or health insurance card) • A photo of yourself holding your identification card and credit card.(with a clear image of your face) If we do not receive a response, we will not be able to deliver the product. Please note that we cannot proceed with the order without the necessary documentation. Thank you for your cooperation." And asking for me to send this via e-mail... This is supposed to be an international-scale business that not only handles computers but also security. Are you kidding me?
