Decided I'd start doing some game reviews to scream into the void here every once in a while. Solid 8 for me. I really a enjoyed the melee and gunplay in this game. The story was engaging and passes as a bit better than generic as it (imo) improves more and more as you go.

I think Koleda's new voice sounds much better than the original Not hating on the old one but goddamn she sounds hella cute and has a more natural raspy tone now

@naMnaSYt Yea i always thought this was weird considering Katara, Tonraq, and Korra's mother let her go to Republic City and it was framed as gling against the White Lotus' wishes. Then Tenzin has to demand they let Korra stay when he got her from Lin. At best its not represented well.

didn't say anything about Korra, I'm just pointing out inconsistent writing in season 1 we see The White Lotus are the ones to search for and train the Avatar, and we see that they have say over her Tonraq and Tenzin apparently having that power now is a contradiction to s1

@AlterMagna @ZenlessWorld Wise was done a disservice with his Yunkui outfit. At least Belle's was closer to a disciple's attire. His looked like a whole different thing besides the barely visible undershirt. Either way i hated both. Im excited for these next ones.

@Augusketchs I will defend this always. Bolin at that point had met and fought Ghazan, the lava bender more than once. Had even spoken with him (confirming it isnt personality locked like bloodbending and lightning are speculated to be). His only choice was to try or die in that scene.

Remember when Bolin tried to do metalbending but he just couldn't because he was too stupid or whatever? Well here's an even rarer, never explained how to do sub-bending element he can do for no reason

There are plenty of people saying the same shit without even bothering to watch tlok, so he gets my props for that. I just want to see how he feels about the rest of the show.

@059molly @FgcPosterd @naMnaSYt In 70 years benders would still try to break the law too. Thats how Yakone's lineage came about in the first place. Its something even rarer then lightning, metal, and lava. For good reason. Multiple bloodbenders of Amon's caliber would be unstoppable. There's only one Avatar.

I'd remind you, the first season of Korra not only is centered around the very same ass pull, it even creates a brand new one that the main villain takes advantage of. I think vol1 is absolutely allowed to be called for its BS.

When Aang gets earthbending in a day. Cool When Katara gets bloodbending in a day. Cool When Toph gets metalbender in a day. Cool But when Korra struggles with airbending for 17 fucking years and gets it following the principles of freedom. She's a Mary Sue.

this is where I see the mary sue complaint now whole season she was getting washed but suddenly she can airbend after having her bending taken away and can negate Amon's bloodbending with no waterbending but Aang couldnt negate Yakone, who was significantly weaker than Amon

@059molly @FgcPosterd @naMnaSYt Yakone's lineage are the only known waterbenders capable of doing that in 70 years of bending evolution where even metal and lightning became more widely known. Its safe to say they are abnormal cases. Normal bloodbenders would still have to use the moon.

@FgcPosterd @naMnaSYt How i see it in the same way against a huge tidal wave its unlikely even the best water bending master will be able to exert control over it. A strong water bender is difficult to maintain blood bending on. Its the bloodbenders equivalent of biting off more than you can chew.

@worthytask @naMnaSYt Honest question, how does that resistance work then? I’ve always assumed she can control the liquids (and therefore blood) in her own body - is she just immune because she’s a stronger water bender even if she’s not controlling her own blood?
