One thing about X I still can't understand. A thoughtful post → 200 views A random comment → 20K impressions. Why's X so unpredictable?

@shamionx People don’t want to be educated. They want to be entertained. It’s not unpredictable at all once you understand that.

@shamionx Because the algo doesn't care about quality. It pushes the content for big accounts, so a reply there can easily get you 10-20-100K impressions, even if you have almost no followers.

@shamionx the algorithm doesn't measure value, it measures engagement. and reactive emotions drive more engagement than thoughtful ones

@shamionx also maybe it's the fact that when you comment or reply, you also rely on the original post, their views, their replies etc.

@shamionx I'd call that an advantage. Low impressions filter out noise. The people who stay are usually the serious ones
