Yesterday, we soft launched ◉RD. It is about viewing Ordinals through a fresh lens and laying foundations to build on top of. ➔ ord.net I will have more to say about it in the coming days, but for now, check it out. Connect your wallet(s), play around, and do not hold back on feedback. Re: collection data and the listing process. ◉RD indexes every inscription, parent, and gallery. All "collections" are either galleries or one or more parents. The goal is to rely on onchain data as much as possible. The listing process becomes more of a verification process, where we mark an existing parent or gallery as a verified collection, give it a URL slug and title, and enable trading. Verification is currently handled through our public Github. ➔ github.com/TheWizardsOfOr… There is plenty of tooling now for inscribing galleries. Take your time and do it right. Make sure the title and metadata are correct. Wen OMB? Wen NM? When we get good, complete galleries for them. There is no urgency. Ideally, those galleries come from the project founders, but they can also come from the community. What matters is that the data is good and reflects what Magic Eden or Satflow had. GLHF

Turns out Ordinals enjoyers were the ones who actually did something to decentralize mining, rather than just larp about it to raise money and then pivot to insane fork proposals. Many such cases. We are the real Bitcoiners and always have been.

Parasite Pool mined its first block 5 days ago, and now it has had an average hashrate of 150 PH for more than two days. This means it will likely take around 40–50 days to find another block. Now let’s imagine what will happen to the price of OMB when Parasite starts mining one block per week, or maybe even one per day, and everyone starts talking about Parasite. I’d say 0.016 is free af.

I had never heard about @Parasite_wtf until they mined their first block last week. After further research and discovering that they're a hybrid mining pool I decided to aim my Bitcoin lottery miners at their pool instead of going full blown solo. I like the concept of the miner who solves the block getting 1 whole Bitcoin as their reward, while the remainder of the block reward gets distributed to the rest of the contributors in the pool. Still feels like solo mining to an extent, while having the added benefit of contributing towards the further decentralization of global mining hash rate as a group in a smaller but growing pool.
