今日カリフォルニアの友人と話してたんだけど、「最近のツイッター見てる？アメリカ人たちが本場のBBQをどんどん紹介してくれて、どれも本当にすごいし感謝しかない」って伝えたら「感謝するのはアメリカの方だよ。アメリカのBBQってホストであるその家の父ちゃんが主役で、前日から準備をする一大イベントなのね。父ちゃんの名誉をかけた“渾身の作品”を提供するイベント。だけどゲストは家族、親族、友人、近所の人、後は仲のよい同僚くらいでだいたいいつも同じメンツなのね。なので基本的には初対面やそれに近い人は呼ばないからいつも似たような人たちが集まるんだよね。でも父ちゃんに取っては魂を込めた自分の“作品”だから、やはりもっと色々な人に見て欲しいって欲求はあるんだよ。で、今回アメリカ人が日本人に自身のBBQを見せたら大勢の日本人からポジティブな反応が届いたわけじゃん？もうこの流れに乗らない父ちゃんはいないよ。「俺の作品も見てくれ！」ってどんどん押し寄せて、日本人はその全てに惜しみない賞賛を浴びせてくれる。こんな幸せなことはないよ。明日から週末だね。月曜日には更に力の入ったBBQ画像がツイッターに溢れるんじゃないかな？」とのことで、BBQ Daddies可愛すぎでは🥺

@Semi_cleanwater They’re easy to raise in our environment. In southern Louisiana after harvest, farmers flood the fields and add crawfish which breed as they eat the old crops and replenish the soil, and then they harvest the crawfish, and plant more. When cooked well they’re amazing.

@datekai444 @saws_skmdrt Very spicy and salty. Some people add in sausages, onions, garlic and other vegetables. I’ve never tasted anything similar.

@MrWHOsecond2 While I agree to not impose faith on anyone. Personally, I have to look to those who followed the faith as Jesus taught directly. If I look back in history, and study the earliest Christians, the pillars of Catholicism are visable. Not just Roman - Catholicism as a whole.

I knew a young man who had 2 women who were deeply interested in him—both church-goers and pretty; one was a virgin, the other a single mom. After much counsel and prayer, he married the single mom. He saw more godly character in her and too much vanity and pride in the other.

@zuck_elon @Cath0licP0dcast Catholics don’t pray TO the departed. We ask for prayers FROM those we believe have received into ever lasting life. As revelation8:3-4. “…The prayers of all saints…”. I agree as well one mediator. Saints, angels, living prayers only are answered by God. We may simply ask.

Of course Jesus prayed. The Son, in His humanity, modeled perfect dependence on the Father. And yes — 1 Timothy 2:1 calls us to pray and intercede for one another. But that verse is about living believers praying for living believers. The issue isn’t whether Christians should intercede. We should. The issue is whether Scripture teaches us to pray to departed believers. The Holy Spirit indwells every true Christian (Romans 8:9). Through Christ we have direct access to the Father (Hebrews 4:16; Ephesians 2:18). 1 Timothy 2:5 says there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. So yes — pray for one another. But our access to God is not dependent on additional heavenly intermediaries. The Spirit inside us doesn’t make prayer unnecessary — it makes direct prayer possible.

Spending a few hours with God. I will pray for everyone seeing this post. Just react to it.
