@mebecauseofgu On the surface yes I agree but I really think this is part of him trying to rid himself of his association with scd, not even keeping souvenirs of a once in a lifetime experience. But maybe I'm completely wrong. 🙂

This poor boy lived his life on a 1 metre chain 😢 He was rescued but now lives his life in a small kennel, spinning all day 😢 His favourite thing in the world is to go for walk. We want to give Max his freedom 🐕 If you could offer him a home trial & are within 90 mins of Manchester fill in the form in the comments. He is friendly with all people and could potentially live with a female dog. Naturally we will be assessing him ourselves once he arrives with us. People buy from breeders every day, never realising that dogs like Max are desperate for their chance. Beautiful, healthy dogs. Please consider them instead 🙏 dogs4rescue.co.uk/dog-type/adopt/

📰 Buick MacKane's Accidental Broadcast: - T. Rex - March 17, 1974 A glam-rock broadcast glitch that became an instant cult moment. Recorded on February 14, 1973 for Musikladen, T. Rex’s performance of “Buick MacKane” was never shown during the programme’s original February 21 broadcast. Instead, it resurfaced by accident over a year later — on March 17, 1974 — when it played unexpectedly at the end of an Osmonds special, startling viewers and delighting fans who caught the moment live.

Born To Boogie - Marc Bolan Archive
Bolan's Zip Gun Album: Marc's Funk-Soul Stripped Return February 7, 1975 - Bolan’s Zip Gun was released eight of the eleven tracks on the album were previously released in the US the year before on the Light of Love album by Casablanca Records. Zip Gun was essentially a repackage with three additional tracks. However, it was the only T. Rex album that did not chart in the UK. Marc's aimed to pursue the funk and soul direction recently seen in Tanx and particularly Zinc Alloy. However, the production of the new album showcased more stark, stripped-down arrangements, possibly as a response to the backlash against the heavily orchestrated Zinc Alloy. The lyrics were simple and direct, often repeating just three or four lines. Several songs, such as "Space Boss," "Think Zinc," and "Golden Belt," had a futuristic feel, reflecting Bolan's love for science fiction. The album also included a twin-drum sound on some tracks, notably "Solid Baby," featuring Davy Lutton and Paul Fenton. The cover artwork was credited to John Kosh. Before the album's release, two singles were issued: "Light of Love" on July 5, 1974, which peaked at number 22 on the UK Singles Chart, and "Zip Gun Boogie" on November 1, reaching number 41. Both singles received negative press, and the album itself was met with complete indifference from the public, failing to chart in the UK. Bolan's Zip Gun would be the last T. Rex album to feature Mickey Finn on percussion. In 1994, Edsel Records released Bolan’s Zip Gun as part of their comprehensive T. Rex reissue series, but they reduced the number of bonus tracks. In 1995, a companion release titled Precious Star (The Alternate Zip Gun) was issued, featuring alternative versions, studio rough mixes, a live version, and demos of the main album and bonus tracks. A combined album digipak was made available in 2002. In the UK, Kate Phillips from NME remarked that it was "a significant departure from the pure voices and guitars of the old Rex days... it might drive you mad, but after six or seven minutes you don't really notice whether it's playing or not." Barbara Charone of Sounds commented that "what seemed like good, simple fun two years ago now appears as inferior exercises in self-indulgence," while Jan Iles of Record Mirror humorously noted that "most of Marc's rumblings move faster than a white swan but won't reach the top half as quickly!" In a retrospective review, AllMusic commended the variety of the material, highlighting tracks like the delightful knockabout "Precious Star," the unapologetic boogie of "Till Dawn," and the energetic title track, which marked a return to the "understated romp he had always excelled at." "Token of My Love" was described as "equally incandescent" for its playful blues style. Reviewer Dave Thompson noted that a sparser sound "emphasized the rhythms, heightened the backing vocals, and left rock convention far behind." "Light of Love," "Golden Belt," and the powerful ballad "I Really Love You Babe" all possessed "an earthy authenticity." Track Listing Side A Light Of Love Solid Baby Precious Star Token Of My Love Space Boss Think Zinc Side B Till Dawn Girl In The Thunderbolt Suit I Really Love You Babe Golden Belt Zip Gun Boogie The original UK release was in a fully-laminated die-cut cover, on dark blue T·Rex labels. Printed cardboard inner sleeve with straight corners. First catalogue number on cover, inner sleeve and labels, 2nd (EMI international cat.#) boxed on cover rear top right. The cover spine text "Bolan's Zip Gun - T. Rex" & "BLNA 7752" appears on top edge as well. No 'Bolan' logo above 'Stereo', as on repress Bolan's Zip Gun. What do you think of this album? Personally, it’s one of my favorites.
