Matues Fernandes is not worth £85m but the market is inflated. Baleba and Alex Scott (our alternatives) will be a similar fee. Personally think United should've paid up and got it done even if the price is a JOKE for a relegated player.

We gave @SuhailChowdhary the update last Thursday when they asked for the Mateus Fernandes update. We said @SpursOfficial were ahead. The player wanted @ManUtd, but the #THFC package was too great. Manchester United made the right decision.

@WaruiJohn2 We clearly offered him a chance to be Casemiro's replacement, play in the champions league, and hopefully win a trophy before spurs even dream of winning their next. Overpaying creates a precedent of clubs walking all over you in the transfer market.
