Europe threatening to liquidate trillions in US Bonds if the US abandons the Ukraine. A 2.5 trillion liquidation could cause serious harm to the US and it would be well deserved. Should the US abandon Ukraine it would Europe that would have to fund their defense going forward and 2.5 trillion would a very good backstop to help pay for it. Should this happen, the economic fallout would most likely be the final nail in the Republicans 2026 and 2028 coffin.
