I appreciate the kind words from many of you. For those of you that asked how I started or what major changes I made— some helpful tips: 1. Take 2 weeks and track your food. Get a food scale and get an idea of where your calories come from. It is eye opening. I do track macros now and highly recommend it but at minimum, just see where you’re at. 2. Start small- I started by cutting out liquid calories. No more 500 cal Starbucks or full sugar sodas. These are now special occasion items for me and not the norm. Don’t try to change EVERYTHING at once- you’ll never stick to it. 3. Movement is key. I don’t care if you walk, run, lift weights, do jumping jacks in your basement.. just move your body. You can figure out a plan as you get comfortable but just start adding movement. 4. Water. Just drink it.
