We just closed on a new office for @BuildWithFlux in San Francisco! 🍾 🎉 After years of working remotely, the Flux team finally has a home base. Flux is building an AI hardware engineer, which means we live at the intersection of software and the physical world. Chips, sensors, boards, machines. The kind of things that don’t exist until someone builds them. Having a physical space matters for that. Our new office has three stories, tons of sunlight, a rooftop, and a machine shop. More space than we can use ourselves. So we want to turn it into something bigger than just an office. The goal is simple: build a hub for hardware in San Francisco. We want engineers, designers, founders, makers, and artists who are working at the intersection of digital and physical technology to collide here. To prototype, share ideas, and build ambitious things. San Francisco hasn’t always been kind to artists, and we want to change that too. We’re launching an artist-in-residence program for people exploring the frontier between hardware, robotics, AI, and art. If you know someone building inspiring things, send them our way. Let’s make this place a home for hardware again 🤖

Improved: design issues are easier to catch before fabrication. New ERC checks now flag undriven nets, missing power, duplicate designators, and more. Plus a new DRC for trace corner radius.

Improved: automatic symbol previews. Published parts now get a symbol preview image when none is provided.

alright. i'm giving up on this board. it will probably work but i'm not going to order it. i made a huge mistake starting with the schematic. ill start from the pcb layout next time

Improved: clearer visibility into applied PCB rules. When selecting nets, traces, or other objects, the inspector now previews descriptions for any targeting ruleset that includes one. Less guesswork when understanding why constraints are applied.

Starting from zero is overrated. Browse community projects, fork a template, and iterate from something that already works.

Improved: schematic autoplacement is more compact. Schematic autoplacement now use a smaller, consistent gap between rows. Cleaner schematics with less manual cleanup after autoplacing.
