@Capt_Fishpaste You should be allowed to forward an away ticket a limited amount of times per season (say 2) as sometimes things can happen which prevent attendance but if you forward you don't get the point. There will be people there Sunday who haven't been to an away game all season!

I know a lot of people who let someone else use their customer number to buy an away ticket that someone else then uses. It's shit because people who have been to away games regularly (albeit on someone else's number) will now be shut out as they haven't accrued their own loyalty points. On the other hand, plenty of other fans who want to do away games have been shut out for years by people abusing the system. It's a bad situation with no easy solutions, but it's been created by those abusing the system by creating their own distribution networks, not the club. #SAFC

@GuzzlerSAFC Completely get what you're saying, but for me it's the people who have created their own redistribution network who are the ones who need to be sanctioned. They are the ones causing the problem.

@Capt_Fishpaste I'd have thought sanctioning the people whose membership numbers failed the ID checks, and then enhanced checks on that group at the next feasible away game. What they've done sounds, from what we've heard, like people considered guilty by association.

@GuzzlerSAFC It's not right, but I'm not sure what the solution is sadly.

@Capt_Fishpaste But in this specific case, 65 tickets have been cancelled and a lot of those people go every week, on their own ticket with their own loyalty points and have had their tickets to the derby cancelled because a few others in the group failed ID checks. That can't be right

@Capt_Fishpaste Yes, but supporters’ associations have been doing this for years and years. Managing it all themselves using a ticket number and then distributing appropriately. This is a poor response and funny that it has only bcome a problem in the PL.

I'm not so sure really. I know more than one person who has not been to an away game for years, but they get a BCP every away game as someone else uses their number, buys a ticket, and sells it on to someone else (without the points) in their own private group. I feel for those fans who have been putting in the hard miles whilst someone else gets the point. It's shot for them. That's why I'm more inclined to point the finger at those running these ticket groups, even though their intentions are good.

@Capt_Fishpaste This issue seems worse than that though. 65 people have got their tickets through someone that sorts trains etc. Seemingly a small number of tickets weren't in the holders possession at a previous game, so all 65 cancelled even though most were bought by people who go every week

@Eddsyy It's not occasional though, that's the problem. It's every single away game.

I don’t think the occasional ‘hand over’ should be punished. I know many people who have a season ticket with someone who can’t go to away games. I think they should be able to use that to go with someone else. I think they need to find a way to find the repeat offenders and address it that way. But as for how they do that, I’m not sure if they can.

@Capt_Fishpaste Its a funny one. I can cope with spiderman having organic webbing however it's the change from his home made one to organic that will annoy me. It's probably from a comic I haven't read but I'll need a good reason why or it'll seem really unnecessary

@Capt_Fishpaste I am currently getting over my second battle with cancer since 2011. Believe it or not I am sometimes knackered but still go to every home game even if sometimes I can’t really be bothered. If I feel like leaving a few minutes early that doesn’t make you better supporter than me

I know I'll get abuse from some for saying it but fuck it, I will. Amazing how the people who absolutely definitely always need to leave early for various vital unavoidable reasons were able to stay till the end earlier in the season when we were winning games at home. #SAFC
