It’s super simple and a non - asshole way to answer that question:
“It was just out of the zone”
That’s it. no up, down in, out. It can get bad when you start giving 5 paragraph explanations as to how the pitch missed by 3 inches to the right because the catchers+ coaches will hold you to that for the rest of the game. just keep it simple, civil, and don’t screw yourself over. I was trained to keep it civil but vague.

Pleading insanity should double your sentence. But you should be allowed to serve that sentence in a mental institution. If you ever recover, you can serve out the rest of your original sentence in prison, with half the time you spent institutionalized counted towards time served
