Those involved in the attack in Dunmurry last night represent no one and have nothing to offer our society. They need to get off the backs of our communities who deserve to live in peace. Our communities reject these actions and understand they achieve nothing but disruption.

So when can we expect to see this?

I think I will transfer one of my votes to the sdlp next time around , they have demonstrated they want the law applied in a fair and balanced manner , credit where credit is due .

Those behind the Dunmurry attack have been for years fed a diet of glorification of irish republican terrorists and the lions share of the homage came from the mouths/keyboards of Sinn fein, the terrorist who bombed the furniture shop in 1976 had nothing to offer society either.

DUP Statement This evening, Belfast City Council passed a DUP motion, condemning the unauthorised erection of the Bobby Sands statue on public land and calling for full transparency and a review of the decision not to take enforcement action. We all must be equal under the law and equally subject to the law. Sinn Fein representatives, alongside First Minister Michelle O’Neill, unveiled the memorial to Hunger Striker Bobby Sands, despite it being erected without planning permission, and this evening argued against enforcement action being taken. The motion was about a memorial and whether planning law is applied equally and without exception. It can’t be one rule for republicans and another rule for small business owners. Attempts to deflect and shut down debate were made tonight but they failed, Council has now set a clear expectation for transparency and accountability.

Point them to the facts when they lie and say the IRA were not sectarian!

I was Christened in Twinbrook in the old hut before the Chapel was built, from my earliest memories Bobby Sands was in everyone’s thoughts, how he conducted himself living there and in his incarceration encouraged everyone to be proud of who we were as ‘Twinbrookers’ Sin é 🇮🇪✊

This is inherent in the Good Friday Agreement and those of us who believe in change shouldn't let the theatrics of loyalist hard-liners in the north now be a benchmark for the inclusive Ireland we want to create.
