@Jason If your health and we'll being depended in it... would you rather see a Doctor that you don't pay? Or one that you do pay? The notion that Healthcare would ever be free is nonsense. Someone is paying, it's just a matter of who and how much. Whoever pays has the power.

The best solution for healthcare in the US is to make it free for all, and relentlessly lower the cost of providing it… or a true free market where consumer have to pay for it themselves (and thus price shop for the best solution) Which solution do you think is best and why?

Political issues should be suspect of conspiracy until proven otherwise. All theories are viable by default, this way, everything is subject to scrutiny and requires rational explanations to convince everyone the conspiracy is *not* true.

@sovereign1914 @jordanbpeterson @Breedlove22 It's ridiculous to think the whole BTC market is being supported by Tether... BTC has the most trading pairs, it's traded in every asset. Volume is not concentrated to USDT trades. The impact of Tether is negligible.

@Crypto_Edge @jordanbpeterson @Breedlove22 Tethers are fake dollars yes? Tethers bid on BTC, therefore contribute support to the USD bid for BTC. If tether goes away it is deflationary to btc price.

@jordanbpeterson @Breedlove22 Bitcoin is in a credit bubble fueled by Tether. If you are looking for bearer assets that can't be inflated you want gold and silver. Bitcoin also has counter party risk related to the network itself.

@UnrollThread This is spot on. There is a very clear distinction between bitcoin and alts in what the path forward is. Bitcoin is the only one optimizing w/ a long time preference approach whereas everything else is cramming "features" w/ short time preference.

when i think of taproot it strikes me that #bitcoin isn’t just distinguishing itself on decentralization by *not* following the alt L1 path (feature adds, EVM, ever more L1 throughput, etc)… instead bitcoin is *actively* taking its own path to become *more resilient* short 🧵

bitcoin and ethereum are not the same and their communities make different design decisions to achieve different ends. this has never been clearer to me, and i see it as further evidence of a maturing digital assets ecosystem
