@TMSuccessful The fact they are still around is insane. The few loads I handed them (as a shipper) we wound up having to refuse the trucks because it wasn't even safe to load with lift equipment. They don't vet for shit, and you ALWAYS have to verify the carriers cargo coverage yourself...
English

TQL has zero standards. They hired a carrier who has "195 strong links" including one to Sakara LLC. We won't even talk about the OOS scores...But what's more baffling...as a broker, do you not find it strange/perplexing/curious that a company that reports 2 trucks has 562 inspections? Y'all need to go back to the "freight broker school".

I see some people incorrectly claiming that the Tesla Semis 500 mile range isn't enough.
Average daily miles:
• Long-haul drivers: 400-600 miles
• Regional drivers: 300-500 miles
• Local/delivery drivers: 100-300 miles
Not every Class 8 semi runs near the full 80,000–82,000 lb limit. The Tesla Semi’s 500-mile range is based on an 82k gross weight, so carrying lighter loads, like 30k or 40k lbs for example, will extend range beyond 500 miles.
Longer routes are also sometimes shaped by FMCSA Hours of Service rules, which cap driving at 11 hours in a 14-hour window, meaning drivers typically wouldn't exceed ~600 miles per day anyway. Drivers must also take a 30-minute break after 8 hours, during which the Tesla Semi can recharge up to about 60% of its range at a Megacharger. The Long Range Tesla Semi will be good for longer routes, while the Standard Range with 325 miles of range will be great for more local/regional deliveries.
Transportation is the largest source of emissions in the U.S. at 28%. The Tesla Semi will not only save operators money over time, especially if you include state incentives, but the truck will be much better for air quality.
PepsiCo has been testing Tesla Semis for the past few years. They said that the drivers who operate the company's Tesla Semis have reported that they don't want to go back to driving a diesel truck.

@elonmusk When does normal person gets to order one or your only selling to big players

Tesla Semi starts high volume production this year
X Freeze@XFreeze
Bill Gates visited Elon at the Tesla Giga Texas factory and told him straight up: "It’s impossible to have a long-range semi-truck. It doesn’t work" Elon replied: "We literally have them. Drive one yourself. Pepsi is using them RIGHT NOW" Gates just kept saying: "No, it doesn't work" Today, Tesla Semis are hauling cargo 425+ miles for one of the biggest companies on Earth Imagine being this confidently wrong, refusing to accept reality, and somehow the media still sells him as a "climate expert" 🤡

@TMSuccessful @SearchCarriers Must be slow to spend all doing searching n posting all day
English

I started off by being productive and cross referencing and searching carriers on @SearchCarriers . And then, I found out that you can actually try and make snow piles and then dust the snow off. 😍
English

@FreightAlley Pull them in for detailed inspections.
• Issue citations for minor (“small”) violations.
• Conduct thorough searches when the driver appears “brown” or non-white.
English

I am all for increasing accountability for brokers hiring bad actors and non compliant motor carriers, but this proposed legislation is insane
“3 or more violations over a 5 year period.”
Which means a fleet with more than a few trucks is likely to be in that group. Brokers will resort to hiring only chameleon carriers.

English

@FreightAlley Allegations of Racial Profiling
Some truck drivers, particularly those who are Hispanic/Latino, South Asian (e.g., Punjabi Sikh), or other minorities, claim that officers are more likely to:
•
English

@FreightAlley These stops are mandatory for most commercial vehicles over certain weights, and bypassing them can lead to fines.
English

@FreightAlley California has numerous weigh stations along major highways (e.g., I-5, I-10) where commercial trucks must stop when open. Officers check vehicle weight, safety compliance (brakes, tires, logs), paperwork, and hours-of-service rules to ensure road safety and prevent overloading.

NZers are right to be concerned. Extremist #Khalistani activism appearing on Auckland streets shows the risk of mass immigration without assimilation—imported conflicts, unchecked extremists, and a govt asleep at the wheel. #NZ isn’t a dumping ground.

"We Sikhs are Kiwis too"
A press release by @nzsikhyouth has addressed a confrontational "protest" by a Christian radicalist cult at yesterday's Manurewa (Auckland) Nagar Kirtan (Sikh procession), calling the dancing demonstrators "confused and misled".
The long scheduled...

@BrianTamakiNZ Is that you loading up your cart with all the free food and drinks. Oh wait maybe it was person left to you
English

IS THIS AUCKLAND OR MUMBAI?
Right now in Manurewa, it’s shut down for hours for a Sikh religious parade.
Roads closed. Locals disrupted. Businesses affected. Families stuck.
And the most confronting part?
Men openly carrying swords & daggers on public streets.
Kiwis are left asking a fair question:
Since when is it acceptable to parade bladed weapons on our streets?
That is not normal in New Zealand.
That is not the Kiwi way of life.
And it should never be waved away as just “culture.”
We do not parade weapons in public.
We do not shut down suburbs for foreign religious displays.
And we do not run different rules for different groups.
If a Kiwi group marched through a South Auckland suburb with weapons on display, the response would be immediate.
Police. Media outrage. Politicians lining up to condemn it.
If you choose to live here, it’s Kiwis First.
Our laws and public norms come first…not imported religious practices that clash with public safety.
Multiculturalism is a failed experiment.
And multiculturalism should never mean losing our common sense or erasing the Kiwi way of life.
This is Auckland, New Zealand.
Not a free-for-all.
Not a foreign showcase.
One nation. One people. One law. One vote. One standard. One Flag. Under One God.
Respect the nation you live in…and don’t expect the nation to bend the rules for you.
Keep NZ, NZ.
More action to come…
