Every Bitcoiner should run a node. That's all well and good. But you should at least run a lottery miner too. Even if it's just a 1.2 TH/s miner. Nothing says "Protecting Your Money" like adding hashrate to the floor. Just like HODLing supports the floor value.

Run a Knots/BIP110 node with a miner pointed to it. Self custody your Bitcoin, then do nothing. Rug the spammers. Spend time with your family and friends.

Finally, we have a clear and simple set of policies that will remove barriers to Bitcoin adoption!

The liar here is @BitMEXResearch, not @LukeDashjr. The effective consensus limit at that time (March 2013) was not strictly 500 kb (or even the theoretical 1 MB), but rather around 500–750 kb due to an obscure, forgotten database constraint.

Bitcoiners, remember that in 2013 March, Bitcoin Core deployed a temporary softfork to limit block sizes to 500kB, expiring 2 months later, with zero notice or miner signalling. It also retroactively invalidated existing blocks.
