If I knew Indian middle tier IT sector is going to be so cringe and baseless, I'd not have opted for a corporate career. I thought I excel at solving technical problems and I'll excel at my career too, but alas! It's been all about excelling interviews

Ha! How did I miss it? Yes, it should be Oops, not Opps. I've changed it on the report.

@netshrink I always thought this was due to the understanding that UV deactivates the bacteria and virus and after some time they can reanimate (!?) That's why after a long holiday, we need to empty and refill the stored drinking water.... Also sometimes the water develops an odour....

I have never understood the practice of throwing off water from bottles in the fridge after returning from a holiday & fill them with "fresh water" from the water filter! Fresh? That water was sitting behind a dam for yr or more & traversed through municipal pipeline yrs old 🤦‍♂️

With everything on phone during travel- tickets, contacts, map, hotel bookings, money etc. - a new class of fear has started. Fear of either losing phone or it not working when needed.

Average Salary for Software Engineer is ~4000$ per year at your company Sir. It is roughly what the average worker made in America 100 YEARS AGO! Hope you start paying freshers better instead of making such ludicrous claims. Leave that job for useless people like me.

Have you seen people, including celebrities doing this? For reasons - even I don’t know. It doesn’t work. It has no evidence. It is, in fact, harmful for you and causes severe injury and burns. Some people do it as pain relief, some do it in the name of extracting impure blood (lol), some people do it because their physio told them to do so, and some people do it because they want to harm themselves. It might have “helped” you just because a placebo is a great tool, but no one in the medical field would ever suggest you this. If you see someone doing this - ask them to save money. If any athlete or coach is doing this or promoting this, there are 97.4% chances that he or she is propagates non evidence based practices or they are just innocent enough to get fooled, again.

A generic issue I had a third patient come in today since last two weeks, asking me to prescribe him branded medicines instead of the generic ones he had shifted to in the last 1-3 months. One patient had uncontrolled blood pressure from generic Losartan which was well controlled with a branded one One patient had uncontrolled diabetes from generic metformin, glimeperide and pioglitazone which was previously well controlled with branded oral hypoglycemic drugs One cirrhosis patient had worsening of sleep and memory deficits after starting generic Rifaximin which was well controlled with branded Rifaximin I cant decide whether generic drugs from Jan Oushadhi are good for my patients because I cannot trust the consistency in their quality and effectiveness from patient reported outcomes, even though they are so much cheaper and sustainable for my patients overall. Looks like we need to design a project to analyse generic drugs and their quality and take a break from analysing legalized Ayurvedic and Homeopathic junk and give the alternative medicine practitioners a break for them to catch their breath.
