The McLaren Artura is a beautiful 😍 car. Dear automaker industry, why can’t you make [for us peasants] beautiful looking cars that don’t have 700+ hp and cost $250k+? Just drop in a 200-300 hp (plenty) engine and include the usual amenities but put some effort into styling!

@FreezeoutPoker Just give me: "Money IN prize pool" + "Money OUT of prize pool". It's insanely simple. I don't think anyone actually cares what the separate fees are for.

@DannyGeyser @Kevmath Admin fee $120.75 Staff fee $51.75 Prize pool $1,327.50 Total rake of 11.5% Tax laws and regulations of each country require us to list it differently in the app. I know it's confusing and somewhat annoying, but the staff fee is additional.

. @Kevmath @tjreidpoker WSOP Event #4 example. Please clarify (again?) where the Staff Fee comes from. sf = 3.45% of 1500 = 51.75 App says buy-in is 1379.25 + 120.75, implying 1379.25 goes to prize pool. Is it actually 1327.50 + 51.75 + 120.75 (1327.50 going to pp)?

@coolbohemian @Kevmath @tjreidpoker This response is yet more hand waving. I realize dealers have to get paid, etc. I would simply like to know how much of the $1500 buy-in ACTUALLY goes to the prize pool, and how I can determine that amount by looking in the WSOP Live app. Currently, it’s not stated clearly.

@DannyGeyser @Kevmath @tjreidpoker The fee comes out of the totals. It's set based on the total prize pool. As people bust you have less dealers to pay but they just shift to a different tournament or complete their agreed hours at cash games.

Hi @RadioAmanda I see that Daniel is really into golf now. I played for 50 yrs but, for various reasons, quit the game 3 yrs ago. I have 5 limited edition LeRoy Neiman serigraphs that I’m looking to part with that I think would make a great gift for Daniel. -more👇

The dealer just threw a card that landed exactly on three chips as part of someone's stack. There's a prop bet on the table as to how many tries I'd need to duplicate that. How many attempts would you need?

Trump’s “victory timeline” claims. Mar 3: "We won the war." Mar 7: "We defeated Iran." Mar 9: "We must attack Iran." Mar 9: "The war is ending almost completely, and very beautifully." Mar 11: “You never like to say too early you won. We won. In the first hour it was over.” Mar 12: "We did win, but we haven't won completely yet." Mar 13: "We won the war." Mar 14: "Please help us." Mar 15: "If you don't help us, I will certainly remember it." Mar 16: "Actually, we don't need any help at all." Mar 16: "I was just testing to see who's listening to me." Mar 16: "If NATO doesn't help, they will suffer something very bad." Mar 17: "We neither need nor want NATO's help." Mar 17: "I don't need Congressional approval to withdraw from NATO." Mar 18: "Our allies must cooperate in reopening the Strait of Hormuz." Mar 19: "US allies need to get a grip - step up and help open the Strait of Hormuz." Mar 20: "NATO are cowards." Mar 21: "The Strait of Hormuz must be protected by the countries that use it. We don't use it, we don't need to open it." Mar 22: "This is the last time. I will give Iran 48 hours. Open the strait" Mar 22: "Iran is Dead" Mar 23: "We had very good and productive talks with Iran." Mar 24: "We’re making progress." Mar 25: “They gave us a present and the present arrived today. And it was a very big present worth a tremendous amount of money. I’m not going to tell you what that present is, but it was a very significant prize.” Mar 26: "Make a deal, or we’ll just keep blowing them away." Mar 27: "We don’t have to be there for NATO." Mar 28: No major quote Mar 29: Claimed talks were progressing Mar 30: "Open the Strait of Hormuz immediately, or face devastating consequences." Mar 31: Claimed a deal was "very close" and that Iran would "do the right thing" Apr 1: "We’ll see what happens very soon." Apr 2: Repeated that a deal was likely, while warning of continued strikes if not Apr 3: "Something big is going to happen." Apr 4: Said Iran must comply "immediately" or face further consequences. Let me walk you through what happened one hour before Trump announced the five day moratorium on Iran strikes. $1.5 billion in notional S&P E-mini futures contracts. Four to six times normal activity. One hour before the announcement. Simultaneously, $192 million in crude oil futures purchased at the same time. They made between $300 and $400 million dollars off those trades. Trump claimed he spoke to an Iranian official to negotiate the moratorium. The Iranians said that person doesn't exist and the conversation never happened. This is not the first time. It has happened multiple times. He says something. The trade goes on. He says another thing. The market moves. But whatever you call it — they are laughing at you and they are laughing at me while they do it. Hunter Biden sold a painting and Washington lost its mind. These people are making hundreds upon hundreds of millions of dollars trading on information that only exists inside the most powerful office in the world. I think we are dramatically underreporting how much money is actually being made here. This isn't politics anymore. This is a financial operation running out of the White House.

@barnyboatman @dklappin @steveodwyer @WSOP Money collected from the players to be paid out to winners of the event, 15% of players at WSOP events. A % of the collected prize pool is taken from WSOPE events to pay staff, as stated in the app.

After public comments from respected players @dklappin and @steveodwyer regarding dealers and fees, I investigated all claims and implications myself. As a representative of @WSOP and player myself, I take funds transparency and taking care of players seriously. I'll address everything below. 1. I'll break down the money flow in our opening event for clarification. For the €1,100 Mystery Bounty. €500 goes to the prize pool, €500 goes to the bounty prize pool, and €100 goes to the venue. The main discussion pertained to the 4% staff fee. This comes directly from the total prize pool. Hence, €40 from each buy-in covers this staff fee. The organization pays everyone involved in putting on our events. Dealers, floors, cashiers, etc. 2. Dealers have not been paid less than was agreed to. They were offered a generous, fixed, hourly rate per their original contract. They have been paid, and will continue to be paid, exactly that amount. We believe the dealer take-home pay compares favorably to other festivals. 3. Local laws require any money removed from the player prize pool be taxed at a rate of 30%. So both the €100 rake and the €40 staff fee are taxed. WSOP/King's pay these taxes. The dealers receive their full hourly rate with no taxes removed. I'm genuinely interested in making sure we do everything in the best way possible. If David, Steve, or anyone else with valid criticisms would like to have a good-faith roundtable on possible improvements, I'm open. Always happy to work together to ensure transparency, openness, and staff protection.

@SimonYuSEA To see it on YouTube, you’d have to explicitly look for it or the algorithm would have to see a history of watching poker tourneys. On ESPN, cable/satellite “sports channel surfers” will also be exposed to it.

To all the people excited WSOP is coming back to ESPN is going to be in a whole lot of disappointment. Nobody watches ESPN anymore. This is 2026. Just live stream it free on YouTube with no paywall and poker will have the best exposure in history.
