MERGE is now GA in Fabric DW, which is great. One key T-SQL feature still missing is OUTPUT. OUTPUT is essential for logging, auditing, and capturing new keys during data loads. Its absence makes real-world workloads harder. Support the idea: community.fabric.microsoft.com/t5/Fabric-Idea…

@hackdba @DesertIsleSQL Wait... we tested T16's, not the P. No actual experience with the P-series at the moment.

I am in the market for a new laptop, the most memory I can get for under 4 pounds. If you have any recommendations or things to avoid, please let me know.

@JohannesVink @hackdba I am partial to AMDs as I think they have a more robust architecture. Running a Ryzen 9 on my Tower

@hackdba @DesertIsleSQL As long as you choose an AMD variant. We tested multiple Intel P16's and they all went down in heath throttling.

@DesertIsleSQL Sure I can make a...oh you want something that doesn't way 12 lbs? Pffft.

@hackdba I am looking at lenovo, as I liked the one I had, right until the USBC power port stopped working and I read that is an issue and I can't get it fixed. I may end up with another lenovo though if I can't find anything I like better

@DesertIsleSQL You might have a look at the Lenovo ThinkPad series. The P16 Gen 3s show to weigh in at 4.01 lbs.
