Question for indie devs/publishers. What is the point of a launch discount? Users are already pinged about the games launch without it. Besides being cool does it offer any incentive algorithmically?

Being a game dev can be very lonely...
I made a Discord for the game and honestly it has become such a wholesome space. It is still a small community but the people there are active and genuinely care about the game. This motivates me more that you can imagine.
