@IndieGameJoe Absolutely. Another big issue I see is most developers don't even know what makes their game unique or special. If a developer doesn't even know what makes their game worth playing, how would players?

I think one of the biggest mistakes indie devs make when marketing their game is assuming players will understand what it is. You have to do all the heavy lifting instantly. You have a small window to make it interesting, and if it doesn’t spark something, they’re likely gone.

@Henry_Ejiofor1 Nah fr bro. Seeing all these creators complaining how they were "falsely demonetized", but yet all of them are making brain rot or slop LOL YouTube is a much better place for creators and viewers without this garbage on the platform.

Hey guys. Quite a big milestone to announce. Exactly one month ago today, I began sharing indie games to help increase their visibility. During this time, we've generated over 100k wishlists for all the indie games we've showcased so far. Thank you all for the support. ❤️

This might be the most delusional take I've ever seen on game development. Visuals are the first impression players have of your game. Visuals will never be enough to keep players engaged if the gameplay is lacking. Every gamer knows this.

@stevenyjsong @Albert05270801 @timdanilovhi Oh no did my reply to your comment make you upset?🥺 Ah yes because telling people their demonetization is deserved for making brain rot is "attacking creators". You can do much better than that if you wanted to hurt my feelings bro😂 Appreciate the laugh lmao

@BeanJuiceStudio @Albert05270801 @timdanilovhi Your games look like slop to me. Crazy how you’re on your high horse attacking creators when they’re down… When this is what you make 😂 Sit down. Claude code can build your games in an hour.

YouTube just demonetized my channel 3DLifeSavers for "Inauthentic Content" and I need someone to explain how that's even possible. @timdanilovhi Every single video on this channel is 100% MANUALLY animated in Blender. I build 3D warrior models, rig them, animate fight sequences, and render every frame using freelancers. Samurai. Ninjas. Medieval combat. All original. All handcrafted. This is not AI-generated. This is not recycled footage. This is not spam. Here's exactly how every video is made: – Scripts researched and written by me using actual historical sources – 3D characters designed and built from scratch in Blender – Every animation hand-keyed frame by frame – Sound design and editing done manually I understand YouTube is trying to crack down on AI slop flooding the platform. I support that. But your automated system is punishing the exact creators who are doing it the right way — putting in real hours, real craft, and real effort into original 3D animation. My appeal was rejected within a day. That's not a human review. That's a rubber stamp. @TeamYouTube — give this channel an actual human review. Look at the Blender project files. Look at the render logs. Look at the work. Creators who build everything from scratch deserve better than getting wiped out by a filter that can't tell the difference between original animation and content farm garbage.

@stevenyjsong @Albert05270801 @timdanilovhi Absolutely nothing to explain. Literally anyone with eyes and brain can understand that in under 5 seconds watching your videos. Your demonetization is completely deserved, YouTube is no place for slop. Make REAL content, it's not that hard👍

@stevenyjsong @Albert05270801 @timdanilovhi Bro you can't be serious, your content might be worse than this guys LOL your videos are the definition of brain rot with no value. No one cares if you manually edit, script, generate or whatever. Your content is pure slop, stop acting like a victim and make real content.

@mws There's been a lot of studies that prove posting time has a huge impact on performance. In many cases it can be up to 2-3x the amount of views. I'd highly suggest you actually look up the data before making claims like this to such a large following lol

Does upload time on YouTube matter? Not really. YouTube will push your video either way and people watch when they have time A lot of creators try posting around 3–4 PM because people are getting off work/school and looking for stuff to watch So yeah, upload time can help the initial burst But long term? Your video usually ends up around the same views it was always gonna get anyway Weekends can be better too (viewers are more available) But again, after a few days/weeks it will average out anyway (This matters way less for Shorts though. They get shoved into feeds regardless)

6 months ago we started on this silly FPS game after I took a chance with a trailer competition and found funding. Today Cardboard Cowboy hit 1K wishlists! This is the best job I've ever had, so here's to the next thousand pardners! 🤠🥳 #indiegame #indiedev #wishlistwednesday
