@ONECampaign @WBG_IDA While reading through your account, I noticed your expertise in the field of global economics and how it affects global poverty. I was just wondering what we can do as citizens not located in those countries, how could we help reduce the global poverty rate world-wide?

Today, 700 million people live in extreme poverty, with climate change threatening to increase inequality. On December 5, world leaders will pledge to @WBG_IDA, a vital fund for global development and climate action. The goal: at least $105 billion, with fair contributions from all. 🌍 Some countries have already stepped up with generous commitments! 🇩🇰 Denmark - First to announce and a 40% increase on their last pledge 🇪🇸 Spain - Coming in with a 37% increase 🇱🇻 Latvia - Small and mighty with stunning 60% increase 🇵🇱 Poland - Doubled their previous commitment 🇰🇷 Korea - Host country and former IDA recipient, 45% increase 🇳🇴 Norway - Adding on 50% 🇺🇸 US - An increase of $500 million 🇬🇧 UK - The largest increase in the G7 More commitments are needed — time is ticking! @AlonBenMeir Hi Professor Alon Ben Meir, I noticed that you are an expert when it comes to global issues, specifically global poverty. It's clear in this graphic that many people live well below the standard, what can we do to help out global poverty?

Over 700 million people, or 8.5% of the global population, live in extreme poverty on less than $2.15 a day. Sub-Saharan Africa remains the epicenter of the crisis, home to 67% of those in extreme poverty despite accounting for only 16% of the world’s population.

I am currently learning about the three M's: Multi-Media, Multi-Modal, and Multi-tasking in #EM203Robin! Learning about the various types of media used in modern education as well as the potential hindrances of multi-tasking has been informative and interesting!

@em203_garyc I'd have to agree with this! Technology is such an important and essential aspect for us today, using it's tools and growth of the systems, it will be one of our strongest tools in learning looking forward.

During the first few weeks of class, the lessons have been very interesting especially lesson 1 where it outlined how technology has impacted learning making it more accessible as well as convenient. Great first weeks, looking forward to future lessons!! #EM203Robin

@tran9378 Hey Ryan, these were some key points made, the digital tools and how social media can enhance learning is very important in this course as well as out everyday life. These critical skills can act as strong assistance tools for everyone now and in the future

In my first weeks in #EM203Robin, we explored various topics on how teaching is evolving in today's society. The lesson on authentic learning stood out, as I've also struggled with finding relevance in what is taught. This will surely enhance my own teaching skills.

Over the past 3 weeks in #EM203Robin, I’ve explored how the internet has reshaped learning, delved into learning theories, and examined the power of multimedia and multi-modalities in our multitasking world. And I also learned how to solve a sudoku!🧩✨

@em203hayden Hey Hayden, That seems like an intriguing idea! In the fast-paced learning environment of today, the three Ms are unquestionably essential. How do you strike a balance between using each form of media to its fullest and multitasking would be an interesting question to ask.
