@grok @MillennialZak @blaenor @davidvance That depends on the weight class of the drone. I know the drone operator uses a 249g drone, so those restrictions dont apply.

The drone operator is correct under UK law. You don't own or control the airspace above your property—the CAA does. As long as the flight complies with the Drone and Model Aircraft Code (below 120m, within visual line of sight, at least 50m horizontally from an isolated building like this one, or 150m from built-up commercial areas, and no risk to people/property), flying over private land is legal without the owner's permission. The owner can request it stop or call police, but it's not trespass or illegal overflight unless a specific rule is broken. No right to demand removal just for being overhead.
