@trouble_man90 The bigger issue is that Dems have a disconnect with their voters. Dems pretend to be progressive when talking about women and black people, then shy away from it from it comes to taxing the rich or raising wages. They court groups they don’t really want.

The Hasan debate isn’t really about him personally, it’s about how democrats and democratic voters have no control over our representation in the media. If republican voters said “we don’t want this guy representing us”, that would be the end of the discussion, but for democrats we have to constantly battle the media and our own side over stuff like this. It’s been ongoing for the past 10+ years

Fetterman and Sinema are interesting case studies in centrist brain. Here you have the two examples of centrist politics that actually exist and both are massively despised and have failed at moving anyone from the right. Yet groups like third way pretend they don’t exist.

Those politicians got into office for the explicit goal of working on behalf of corporations and special interests. Make money no longer an incentive and you get different candidates.

Biden was handed the nomination in a rigged primary. He beat Trump in a year any Democrat would have won. He was such a disappointment, giving us four more years of right wing policies, that neither he nor his VP could win in 2024. Running centrists is bad strategy & bad policy.

It's odd how people just memory holes that Joe Biden was the most moderate candidate running in the 2020 primary, won the primary and then beat Trump. Talarico was supported by plenty of moderates in the primary. He's not running as an unapoletic leftist in Texas.

The Giannis Antetokounmpo saga is sorta reminding me of the Dwight Howard saga in Orlando. Both superstars want to be liked and couldn’t decide if they wanted out, so the drama dragged out longer than it should’ve and things ended up getting uglier than if they’d just asked out.
