The preliminary report made a big stink about not crossing municipal boundaries, but wanted to Frankenstein Sherwood Park-Strathcona into Beaumont, rather than just splitting the Sherwood Park ridings in two mixed seats retaining municipal boundaries.

Live west of Lethbridge? The majority report lumps you in with all the towns EAST of Lethbridge. Do you live east of Lethbridge? The majority report lumps you in with all the towns WEST of Lethbridge. Why? Any other arrangement would cost the NDP their Lethbridge seat!

Nagwan won Calgary-Glenmore by just 42 votes (0.16%) in 2023. The majority report shoe-horns the entirety of Tsuut'ina Nation, stretching more than 50km west of Calgary, into her riding in an attempt to help her hold the seat. It's a blatant gerrymander to try to help the NDP.

I think the stink about the riding boundaries is being blown way out of proportion. The majority report’s boundaries weren’t that good, and the minority too hybrid ridings too far in very specific areas. There should be more seats, I hope the new map with those seats is better

I stayed quiet and just observed. Sometimes in the middle of chaos, that’s exactly what you need to do. But I’m going to set the record straight. Caroline did the honourable thing. She chose not to run because of the situation surrounding the collapse of BC United and the reality that many candidates weren’t going to be able to run. She had also stepped down as Vice President well before that. I know this because I had direct conversations with her. I remember the meeting clearly — John had his own conversations and meetings as well, and they were positive. I also won’t forget that Caroline Elliott, along with her friend Katy Merrifield, came out from Vancouver to Langley to knock on doors for me during the election. That’s the kind of conservative she is. With all due respect, John — the truth matters. And I’m here to set the record straight.

He has opposition syndrome. Reminds me of the NDP in Alberta whenever the UCP does something. No explanation for why it’s bad, no offer of a real alternative to the gov’t. Just reflexive opposition, screeching like a banshee at a gov’t that couldn’t care less.

“Canada is broken” was the real rallying cry that brought the Cons to their polling highs. But if Canada is broken, how can a few tax changes and reforms on the fringe fix things?

Poilievre won such a large mandate during the leadership election in 2023 because he was dynamic and able to articulate a case for alternative policy to Trudeau. Seeing him turn into a one-trick pony chasing another polling high with the same tired rhetoric is something.
