Every single time I see one of these clothed gold bored apes it makes me mad on the basis of design. Setting aside the design of apes generally. The fact that the “bling” from the “gold” was made to go through the clothing and under the face assets is just so sloppy. smh.

just got back from vienna after teaching for 3 days at the digital art department. one student told me he'd taken away more from this seminar than from any other course. what he learned, apparently, is that as an artist he needs to be edgy and use rage bait how did this happen?
 every day, we started by reading texts (brad troemel's »athletic aesthetics«, and texts on beeple and shl0ms), then spent hours debating them like a debate club. i randomly assigned positions, so everyone had to argue perspectives they didn't necessarily agree with. and somehow, after three days of reading and discussion, that was the conclusion he walked away with…
