Nach mehr als 2 Monaten sehr guter Arbeit in der Arbeitsgruppe des @bundesblock veröffentlichen wir hiermit unser Positionspapier zum digitalen Euro. Auf 20 Seiten haben wir dargelegt, was der digitale Euro (Retail CBDC) ist, was er nicht ist (Wholesale CBDC und stablecoin), was er in der aktuell geplanten Ausgestaltung kann und was nicht. Wir hoffen mit dem Positionspapier das Projektteam der @ecb von den Vorteilen der Blockchain-Technologie zu überzeugen. Das Ziel ist, dass der digitale Euro die Blockchain-Technologie nutzt, um neue Use Cases zu ermöglichen, die mit bisher bestehenden Geldformen nicht (so einfach) möglich sind. Insbesondere Initiativen der Industrie 4.0 könnten davon profitieren. Abstract Schon im Jahr 2026 kann der digitale Euro (Retail CBDC) der Europäischen Zentralbank (EZB) und dem Eurosystem im Euroraum eingeführt werden. Noch stehen die finalen Designentscheidungen aus. Mit die wichtigste Frage ist, auf welcher Technologie der digitale Euro aufgebaut werden soll. Der Blockchain Bundesverband e. V. (Bundesblock) setzt sich dafür ein, dass die Distributed-Ledger-Technologie (DLT) im Allgemeinen und die Blockchain-Technologie im Speziellen verwendet werden sollten. Mit diesem Positionspapier zeigt der Bundesblock der EZB und dem Eurosystem auf, welche Vorteile diese Technologien für den digitalen Euro haben könnten. Planetmint is a quite natural extension to IPFS as it functions a "sharded", distributed, application and database service. Scales pretty well and offers powerful funtions for data availability proofs.

The upcoming days I will introduce the most interesting aspects of @Planetmint_io, the evolution of BigchainDB into a modular metadatabase blockchain on top of @Tendermint. The name gives a hint about its interoperability with @IPFS by sharing InterPlanetary Linked Data (IPLD).
