The United Kingdom has endlessly appeased the criminal regime in Iran. The Prime Minister speaks of protecting the innocent civilians of Iran but failed to act to help stop the regime’s massacre of 40,000 innocent Iranians in January. Only an end to this regime - that brings terror to Britain’s own shores - will yield lasting peace and regional stability. Keir Starmer should follow in the footsteps of Churchill, not Chamberlain. He should support the Iranian people’s fight for liberty. The Iranian people will remember who stood with them in their hour of need and who stood against them. There is still time for the Government to change course: prosecute the IRGC that slaughters innocents, expel the illegitimate regime's ambassador, and act to support the people of Iran.
Keir Starmer@Keir_Starmer

The two-week ceasefire between the United States and Iran today is welcomed by the UK and our allies. The goal now must be a lasting end to the war. Alongside our international partners, the UK will work to ensure a return to freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.

I'd love to know the difference in legal liability between a) freely cancelling a festival due to public uproar and b) cancelling it after the government has revoked your headliner's visa.

This is former Arsenal star Mesut Ozil outright lying to 27.4 million followers on Instagram. “The death sentences of 12,000 Palestinian prisoners have been approved. 4,000 of them are children… The executions will take place within 90 days.” Literally every word of this post is a lie and Ozil is sharing this and urging others to share. There will be no repercussions for this lie. Demonizing Israel on social media is a successful strategy. You can outright lie with no consequences. 2.1 million accounts have already shared this disinformation on Instagram…

@AmazonHelp Is there an issue with Prime Video in the UK? I've been able to watch Supernatural or Reacher fine until the last day or so, with the below error message. As there's no error code, I don't know what the cause might be. The link in the screenshot is of not assistance.

Calm down y’all. The Palestinian Authority still has its death penalty for selling land to a Jew. I don’t see any criticisms of THAT policy. Huh. So weird!

Polanski is a know-nothing blowhard. The only Jewish person to lead a political party — bar, that is, Benjamin Disraeli, Ed Miliband, Michael Howard, Jimmy Goldsmith and Herbert Samuel. He is clearly ignorant of the country’s history. And much more besides.
Zack Polanski@ZackPolanski

For whoever needs to hear this I'm the only Jewish person to lead a political party - third largest in the country. The Daily Mail have been & always will be my enemy - they historically supported fascists & continue to do so. I'll take no lectures from them on Antisemitism.

Wanna know the scariest part of all this? Even if they are caught: 1. The CPS will deliberate for months about whether to charge them 2. The courts won't find space to hear the case for two years 3. By then, the anti-Israel movement will have given them a label like "the GG Three" 4. Some left wing politicians will stand behind them 5. And after all that, the jury will find them not guilty because they've been fed on @bbcnews pro-Hamas propaganda for two years.

Truly terrible
Zoe Strimpel@realzoestrimpel

In Margate. My cheeks are red. I am shaking. I popped into an exhibition that turned out to be the insane fever dream of an artist called Matthew Collins: ‘Drawings Against Genocide.’ The exhibition is described as ‘drawings… raising consciousness about hell…. Israel is the pure encapsulation of it. Zionism is this terror state’s ruling ideology.’ Shocked by the use of Nazi imagery - the room is full of the Star of David pasted around figures meant to be Israelis and the Jewish ‘lobby’ spewing blood, to say nothing of blonde yummy mummies wearing ‘globalise the intifada’ shirts, I spoke to the artist to share my reaction as a Jewish person. He was instantly aggressive. As soon as I started to say I was shocked and threatened by what I was seeing because it was Nazi imagery, the artist started yelling at me that I didn’t mean anything I was saying. Anytime I tried to speak (calmly) he said: ‘you don’t mean any of what you said, you’re just repeating ‘hasbarah talking points’ because ‘you’re defending a genocide’. On and on he yelled, in my face. I said: ‘if I was a Black person…’ but couldn’t finish the sentence because: ‘you’re not are you?’ On the Nazi ideology point he said: ‘yeah. Why do you think it’s there. Israel are the Nazis’. His breath was disgusting. The crowd began booing and closing in around me, making to shoe me out. I said: ‘fine, get the Jew out’ and he yelled more across the room at me, ‘repeatedly jeering ‘call the police, go ahead, call the police’. I said I would, and the community security trust, which features as a devil in his exhibition. This was met with even more jeering. ‘Yeah, call the CST’ was the last I heard before leaving. Someone snapped pictures of me while I was being shouted at. Short video shows the artist. The longer video, of our final almost surreally disgusting exchange, didn’t record.

As we wake up this weekend, news of yet another violent attack on Jewish children. These are just some of the violent acts aimed at Jewish communities in the West this month. Where is the outrage? A warning: antisemitism will always bring down the society that tolerates it.

🚨 EXPLOSION AT JEWISH SCHOOL IN AMSTERDAM The mayor calls this a deliberate attack on the Jewish community. The incident comes one day after four suspects were arrested over an explosion outside a synagogue in Rotterdam. At least nine Diaspora synagogues have been targeted this month. Never forget. Gary Lineker said nothing on this. While he spent two years berating Israel, calling for Israel to be banned and sharing posts linking Zionism to rats He was silent on the Iranian women’s football team and their lives being at risk from the Islamic Republic
Kosher@koshercockney

IMPORTANT The Iranian women’s Football team have been branded “traitors” by the Islamic Regime and the regime has stated on National TV they will recieve “severe punishment” when they return Out the windows they used sign-language signing “HELP” They must be saved. H/t @Tarikh_Eran

These players were falsely imprisoned, manhandled onto buses, and coerced. Five of them managed to escape. The fact that the first thing they did was throw away their hijabs tells you a great deal about the level of coercion involved. At that point authorities had both a legal and moral duty to stop everything and determine what was actually happening. That means speaking with each player individually and in private to ensure they were not being forced to do something against their will, exactly as authorities would in domestic abuse situations, child welfare checks, witness interviews, and so on. Some players may still have chosen to board that plane, and that would have been their right. But it is hard to believe that everyone, or even anyone, was given a genuinely free and fair opportunity to refuse. Australia failed badly here.
𝐍𝐢𝐨𝐡 𝐁𝐞𝐫𝐠 🇮🇷 ✡︎@NiohBerg

The remaining Iranian players have been forced onto a plane back to Iran. Suffering, torture and possibly execution awaits them for defying the regime. And Australia allowed it. I have no words. This picture will live in infamy.

There is absolutely a scenario developing here where West Ham win in the dying seconds of the final game of the season to keep themselves up and send Spurs down and I think that’s beautiful.
