Happy to finally release "ONE THOUSAND". A $ xxxxxxxx film (you fill in the blank in the comments after watching it! lol). This 9-minute personal short film took just over a month and a half to create, and it is for sure my favorite piece of work so far. (More details in the comments)

Seedance 2.0 4K is now live on Leonardo. The same cinematic control. Now in native 4K. - Sharp edges and fine detail that hold across motion — not just still frames. - Full multimodal inputs: image, video, and text references to direct every shot. Start creating. @BytePlusGlobal

@JH4TC It doesn't look like an AI Film. This is mindblowing!

I was given early access to try the new OpenArt Director by OpenArt AI to put together this "Night Out" concept, and the workflow was definitely impressive. I just fed the chat my script ideas, some prompts I already had ready, character sheets, and a living room image reference, and it completely built out the rest of the world for me (the stairs, the bedroom, the bathroom). That first pass gave me a really solid visual foundation. From there, it honestly just felt like vibe directing, having a conversation with the tool and shaping each scene until it matched my vision. I usually pay close attention to details, but for this one, I just wanted to see what the tool could do. There are a few parts that need some fixing, but I had to keep an eye on the credits, as the constant back-and-forth can be credits-consuming, especially if you are working on longer projects. You could always generate those outside the director mode to save some, though. In the end, I exported the clips and edited them all in CapCut. That’s the one part of the process I refuse to give up so I can add that final human touch. Keep in mind, you can also do the basic editing right inside OpenArt Director. If you're making music videos and want to freestyle with locations, or putting together smaller ads and trailers, this is going to save you an enormous amount of time. Overall, it was a very nice experience. Definitely recommend checking it out for yourself when it drops tomorrow! Thanks team!

@timikareem Thanks Timi! 70k or a bit more but some clips were me testing things so if I had to redo it now that I know what can be done I reckon I could do it with less..

How about some good old 90s action chase scene in New York City? This was really fun to make. Super Cheerleader chased by a Helicopter. Save the Cheerleader, Save the World. It took me 7 days to shoot and cost me around a million dollars. Thank you New York City for letting me shoot this scene there. You guys are awesome.

What would it feel like to remember from inside a family portrait? Not just look at an old photo, but step back into it. This is my family in the late 1980s. My Black dad, my Korean mom, my sister, and me. A military family living in West Germany. When you're a kid, memories don't feel cinematic. They feel ordinary. Riding in my dad's black Cutlass on the Autobahn. Family trips to Holland. Playing on military base playgrounds. Falling asleep in the backseat on the drive home. Monopoly on the patio. Summer cookouts. Moments you don't realize you'll miss someday. One thing I've learned with AI is that the technology itself isn't emotional. The emotion comes from the context you bring to it. These images aren't powerful because they move. They're powerful because they mean something to me. It tells my story. Somewhere between a dream and time travel, I was able to revisit a moment that only existed in a fading photograph and in my memory. Before the aging. Before the diagnoses. Before life became more complicated. Just a happy family together. As a kid, it felt like we wore the same outfits every day and that summer would last forever. Now I have children of my own, and I understand why my parents took these photos in the first place. This video became a Father's Day gift to my dad, but also a gift to myself. A chance to spend a few more minutes in a memory I thought was gone. This was created from my real family portrait. Happy Father's Day ❤️

Testing Grok Imagine 1.5's abilities with the burst frame technique (a brainstorm exercise in which you use a reference image to create a bunch of new scenes, locations, and characters in the same visual style, from which you can then extract key frames to create new scenes). This one is for an imaginary Italian Giallo thriller. The image quality is quite good in Imagine 1.5 - a little too good - I had to grunge it up a bit for a more vintage look. Seedance 2 gives you a more rhythmic burst frame video with shorter snippets - Grok Imagine gave each snippet a little more room to breathe.

So I’m starting Odd Kid (@thisisoddkid) Odd Kid is a small IP studio for strange, emotional stories. The goal is to build original worlds with artists, filmmakers, designers, animators, musicians, and technologists. Use new tools when they help, old ones when they don’t. The goal isn’t to make more stuff faster but It’s to make the right weird things better. The focus is original IP. Films, series, shorts, experiments, and worlds that deserve to exist. We’ll also collaborate on the occasional project with studios, artists, and partners when it feels creatively right. But the ambition is simple: create and nurture original stories, and help bring them into the world. None of this would have happened without the support of Google and the people who opened the first doors: Thomas Iljic, Elias Roman, Josh Woodward, and everyone who believed there was something worth exploring here. Each new project led to another conversation, another room for collaboration/teaching/learning, another chance to meet streamers, studios, executives, producers, and artists I used to watch from very far away. It gave me a real foot in the door of an industry I’ve always loved, but never fully knew how to enter. For the time being, I'm going to juggle this between my role close to Google Flow, quality family time, and building up more meaningful relationships. We’re not trying to be the next Pixar Animation Studios because we’re busy figuring out how to be the first Odd Kid. More soon.

@techhalla Decent stuff! Still some little inconsistency, but I guess a few rerolls to fix them should do. Thanks for sharing!

my agent just pulled a disrespectful move: two images in + a casual ask for a cleaning product ad. no brief. no notes. no back-and-forth… and it still delivered a masterpiece. here’s how we did it.
