Imperfect. Learning as I go. I’m here to observe and better understand the zeitgeist. Occasionally distracted.

@nftcantsleep @NBA_NewYork Mac needs to spend his efforts on learning how to play defense like this. You don’t need to be big or make insane plays, but you need to be able to disrupt rhythm.

@NBA_NewYork no way this dude is in the league and McClung isn't. DEI at it peak.

@Lakersided310 @SFGiants This is the exact same feeling they’ve given us for the last 7-8 seasons. They simply can’t hit. They just can’t.
English

@SFGiants Why is everyone freaking out
There’s 160 games left
How many times have the Giants started off hot and then ended up .500 or worse
Stop taking stock into MARCH games

I feel like in order for it not to pass, the banks have to be willing to burn the country and economy to the ground before loosening their grip on it. Sadly, it feels that they are willing to do that so…. however, necessity breeds innovation! Might not be the US but I have faith the tech will be implemented.

my gut says we don’t get the Clarity Act. feels like too much is going on. i pray constantly that i’m wrong and i’m still optimistic knowing all the work @bgarlinghouse is doing. i simply can’t shake the gut feeling we don’t see it happen this year.

@elliemurphy @RudolfStein2026 Well said! Had this realization during my original read as well.

Dante created an entire Hell and Heaven (and Purgatory) in his Divine Comedy to highlight just this.
What's almost disturbing is that in Inferno, the souls don't even desire to change, even though they are in torment.
All they wanted was fame---for their names to be carried out of hell and back to earth.
Immortality through fame. which, of course, only lead to death, not life.
English

Heaven and hell are not locations in the universe, but consequences of how a human soul learns to live.
Most people reject these ideas because they imagine them in the most childish way possible.
Clouds, harps, angels… or flames, devils, punishment.
Then they congratulate themselves for being too intelligent to believe in any of it.
Steiner’s view:
Hell begins when a human being binds his entire inner life to what can only be enjoyed through the senses.
Pleasure, Possession, Appetite, Status, Stimulation...
Nothing beyond that.
Then death arrives.
The body is gone.
The senses are gone.
The organs that once satisfied those desires are gone.
But the desire itself remains.
The craving stays.
The means disappear.
That is torment.
Not divine punishment; but the soul confronting what it has trained itself to want.
Heaven, in Steiner’s sense, is the opposite movement.
It is the spiritual world itself; the living reality behind everything visible.
And what enters that world with us is not our possessions, reputation, or body.
Only what we became inwardly.
Every truth we struggled to understand.
Every love that became deeper than instinct.
Every moment we perceived spirit through the surface of things.
Those become living substance in the spiritual world.
So the contrast is radical:
Hell is attachment to the lower when the lower can no longer be possessed.
Heaven is participation in the higher that was always hidden within life.
The real question is not whether heaven and hell exist.
The real question is:
What kind of soul are you building right now?

@bigjeffrie @GenerationIron He’s self-coached. Maybe he does one more year flying solo, but eventually I think he’d benefit from a coach to get to the next level.
However, at 24 years old his discipline and poise/work ethic is impressive. The kid is locked in.
English

@GenerationIron He looks good, but he’s not lean enough AT ALL. You could see it right away in the thighs the moment he walked out.
Happy to see what he has become, but is definitely going to need more size and be WAY more lean if he wants to be among the best competitors.

@49thAwakening @Houseofyogi or the card is worth $5k a year later and you didn't get to capitalize on that opportunity because you were forced to sell it when it was worth $500

Unrealized gains tax for Gen-Z:
You buy a Pokémon card for $50.
Someone offers you $500 for it. You say no. You love that card. You're keeping it.
The government says: "Cool, but that card is worth $500 now. You owe us $100 in taxes."
You: "…I didn't sell it."
Government: "Don't care. Pay up."
You don't have $100 lying around. So you're forced to sell the card you love just to pay a tax on money you never received.
Next month? That card drops back to $50.
Your card is gone. Your money is gone. And the government shrugs.
That's a wealth tax on unrealized gains. They don't pay you back the tax...
Now picture this.
Your mom calls you crying. She has to sell the house she raised you in. Not because she can't afford it. She's lived there 30 years. It's paid off.
But some website says it's worth more now and the government says she owes $15,000 she doesn't have.
So she sells your childhood home. The kitchen where she made you breakfast. The doorframe where she marked your height every birthday.
Gone.
To pay a tax on money that was never real.
Now picture the opposite.
Your dad put everything into his small business. For 20 years he built it from nothing. One year the business is "valued" at $2 million on paper. He owes a massive tax bill. He empties his savings. Sells his truck. Borrows money. Pays it.
Next year the market crashes. His business is worth $200,000.
He lost everything to pay a tax on a number that doesn't exist anymore.
Does the government give him his money back?
No.
Does the government give him his truck back?
No.
Does the government care?
No.
They sold this idea as "taxing billionaires." But billionaires have armies of lawyers, offshore accounts, and trusts. They'll be fine.
You know who won't be fine? Your mom. Your dad. Your neighbor with a small business. The farmer down the road who's had the same land for four generations and now has to sell it because dirt got expensive.
You're not taxing wealth. You're taxing people for owning things.
It's like getting a parking ticket for a car you might drive somewhere someday.
They want you to own nothing and be happy. To fund the fraud, waste and abuse of the welfare state they created.
There is enough money. More tax isn't needed. It's all a lie. But you've been gaslit into believing this is a rich vs poor debate.
I hope you understand what's at stake.

@paulbarron Compromise Stablecoin yield for no capital gains on crypto
English

THE DOMINOES ARE FALLING. Capital Gains to ZERO🇨🇿
The Czech Republic just approved legislation eliminating capital gains tax on $BTC Crypto (with a holding period).
Jurisdictional competition is officially ON. Here is who follows next & why:
🇸🇰 Slovakia: The Sibling Effect. They mirror Czech policy and cannot afford to let wealth and talent flee across the open border to Prague.
🇰🇷 South Korea: The Youth Vote. Politicians are terrified of the "Kimchi Premium" demographic. Taxing crypto is political suicide; exemption is the safe play.
🇦🇷 Argentina: The Ideology. Milei views taxation as theft. Zero-tax BTC aligns perfectly with his goal of "currency competition" and de-risking from the Peso.
🇯🇵 Japan: The Brain Drain. Current punitive taxes forced Web3 innovation to Singapore. They must cut taxes to 0% (for long-term holders) to bring the builders back.
🇺🇸 USA (Wildcard): The Power Play. If the administration wants "Crypto Capital of the World" status, eliminating taxes on US-held Bitcoin is the ultimate stimulus.
The game theory is simple: Incentivize the future, or watch it leave. 🚀
