I’ve found it usually doesn’t help to list all of that on my website or in sales materials. Early in my career, I thought being super transparent about my process would build trust—like, “hey, look how thorough this is!” But what I noticed was that clients aren’t really buying “competitor research” or “moodboarding.” For me specifically, what they actually care about is getting a refreshed look and feel—through a new website that goes live and makes them proud to share their startup with the world. For me, it’s worked better to keep the pitch simple and focus on that clear outcome: a polished, updated online presence—again, for me, that is through a published website. I still explain the process in more depth once we’re in a deeper conversation, but upfront, it’s all about what the all about the last touchpoint or primary deliverable, not every single step it takes to get there. Not all of the strategic thinking that is involved in creating that—just "you pay $20k, you get a complete visual identity and a published website.”

@sammyjoluxton1 every family would have to worry over that choice, I agree in many cases it is terrible to think about but every single family would struggle and worry over than choice rather than the select unfortunate.

My grandad had bowel + prostate cancer - he was so unwell, in agonising pain every day, being fed medication to knock him out 24/7. He begged us to kill him, every day said he couldn’t wait to die. I know he would have loved to have the option to go peacefully on his terms 😅
