@Avabelly__ I’d say the price would be the first red flag. I’ve worked construction as a Pipefitter for over 25 years & know many, many concrete contractors & finishers. That much driveway would be about $25-30k. If you got it for $4,900, I’d live with it & shut my mouth. 😂

Just paid $4,900 for a new driveway. The contractor said he had 20 years of experience… but this honestly looks terrible to me. The finish is uneven, the edges look rough, and overall it just doesn’t seem professionally done. Am I overreacting here, or would you be unhappy too? What would you do next in this situation? I know people are allowed to mow their lawns during the day, but 7 a.m. every Saturday is starting to feel rough 😅 My neighbor fires up the mower like clockwork every weekend, and Saturday is usually my one morning to sleep in after a long work week. I did ask once if he’d consider waiting until around 9 a.m., especially since the yard only takes about 30 minutes, but he said he likes getting it done early. I get it. It’s his yard, and he’s not necessarily doing anything wrong. But when the whole street is still quiet, that mower feels extra loud. I’ve tried earplugs, white noise, and closing the windows, but nothing really blocks it out. Maybe I’m just tired, but I do wish there was a little more consideration for neighbors on weekend mornings. Be honest, is 7 a.m. too early to mow on a Saturday, or is that still fair game?
