@timotheeology If a new believer picked up a Bible and read the whole thing before going to a Prot or Cath church they wouldn’t conclude that Mary was a perpetual virgin or prayers to the saints. They would conclude that Jesus is the only means of salvation and that we receive His Holy Spirit.

You must read the whole chapter. 1 Corinthians 13 is about the endurance of love even after the return of Jesus. All these other things will pass away and will be useless at His second coming, but not before.

BREAKING: FedEx driver who pleaded guilty to kidnapping and murdering 7-year-old Athena Strand, has been sentenced to death. Tanner Horner snatched Athena while he was delivering a Barbie doll to her home in Paradise, Texas. At one point during the trial, jurors broke down in tears while hearing audio of Horner killing Athena after he told her to take off her shirt and said she was "really pretty." Athena repeatedly asked for her mother before she was killed. "Horner is then heard asking Athena to remove her shirt, and there are several moments when she says "no" and asks for her mom. That was followed by repeated sounds of crying, screaming and banging," NBC reported last month. Following three hours of deliberation today, Horner was sentenced to death by lethal injection.

@Notwokenow For those just beginning to read the Bible I would suggest sticking with the “thought for thought” versions shown here. God is powerful enough to preserve His holy and perfect word through all translations. Don’t ever let anyone convince you that the KJV is the only good version.

I’m starting to read the Bible and I’m using Erika Kirk’s app to read it in a year. I want to use an actual Bible, too. The only Bible I have is a KJV. Bible readers, what is an easier version to read, but one that still feels…..sacred, I guess? If that makes sense.

Hate speech that crosses the line into threats of violence is NOT protected by the First Amendment. It’s a crime. For far too long, we’ve watched the radical left normalize threats, call for assassinations, and cheer on political violence. That era is over. Under 18 U.S.C. § 875(c), it is a federal crime to transmit “any communication containing any threat to kidnap any person or any threat to injure the person of another.” Likewise, 18 U.S.C. § 876 and 18 U.S.C. § 115 make it a felony to threaten public officials, members of Congress, or their families. You cannot call for someone’s murder. You cannot swat a Member of Congress. You cannot dox a conservative family and think it will be brushed off as “free speech.” These acts are punishable crimes, and every single threat will be met with the full force of the law. Free speech protects ideas, debate, even dissent but it does NOT and will NEVER protect violence. It is clear this violent rhetoric is designed to silence others from voicing conservative ideals. We will never be silenced. Not for our families, not for our freedoms, and never for Charlie. His legacy will not be erased by fear or intimidation.

@gatorgar Read Matthew 6:14-15, and Matthew 7:1-2. Try to remember that what anyone has done against you is no worse than you have done against God. This is true for everyone. Forgive others because you want to be forgiven by God. Not forgiving others only hurts you, not them.

@gatorgar Forgiveness has already been offered by Jesus. All you have to do to receive it is believe Jesus is the resurrected Son of God who died to save you. Once you believe this God will fill you with His Holy Spirit and it will change your life. You just have to believe.

@gatorgar First of all congratulations! This is a huge step in the right direction. There is nothing wrong with trying out a few churches to see which ones you like. The important thing is that they preach salvation through Christ alone and biblical truth above all else.
