BREAKING: Traders placed a series of bets worth $430 million on a drop in crude prices just 15 minutes before U.S. President Donald Trump said he would extend a ceasefire with Iran. It is the third ‌time this month, and the fourth in total, that large, well-timed directional bets on the oil price have been made shortly before major announcements on the Iran war. The traders gained millions. Unusual.

🚨BREAKING NEWS: The president of Turning Point’s University of Georgia chapter will be resigning later this evening due to the internal treatment and subsequent public lies told by Turning Point executives surrounding Erika Kirk’s last minute cancellation of the event w/ Vice President JD Vance. In short, the excuse peddled by their Public Relations team was pure fiction (as we all suspected) No, the Left was NOT buying up tons of reservations, as told by Andrew Kolvet. To the contrary, the team knew weeks before that there was little interest in the event for a variety of reasons, and Erika’s safety was NEVER an issue. Beyond this, the questions at the event were entirely faked. Erika, as we reported, was already in Georgia. Now both the secret service AND the UGA chapter President is claiming that Turning Point not only lied, but rather extraordinarily blamed the public because Erika didn’t want hit the stage. More to follow…

My family is really into state/national parks. We like to visit, our kids earn their ranger badges doing the challenges and filling out info after a ranger gives their presentation, we hike the trails, read the history, even bring our dogs and let them enjoy the spaces. I really really hate that we keep cutting their funding to be honest. Our very first charge as humans from God was to take care of this place. Hard to do when the guys on top keep selling protected land and making it easier for rich folks to set up data centers and developers to build cookie cutter expensive houses on land that used to be beautiful.

Here is a prediction. 1. Donald Trump will do anything for a deal with Iran and, mark my words, give them more than they have ever had before. 2. Experts+Social media will write worst deal in history and it will be. 3. American media will cover for 1 day and move on.

Unfrigginbelievable. So our Secretary of State, acting on a “tip” from a mentally ill influencer, arrested and is detaining two legal citizens with green cards for the crime of having the wrong last names. How much more cartoonishly evil and stupid can this administration get?

🇺🇸🇮🇷 U.S. intelligence officials say Iran is far more capable than the White House is publicly admitting... CBS News dropped a report that contradicts every victory claim from the Trump administration. According to multiple U.S. officials with access to intelligence: About half of Iran's ballistic missile stockpile and launchers are still intact as of the ceasefire start. Roughly 60% of the IRGC Navy, including the fast-attack speedboats just used to seize ships in Hormuz today, remains operational. About two-thirds of Iran's air force is still functional despite thousands of U.S. and Israeli strikes. Compare that with what the administration has been saying publicly: Trump on Tuesday: "We've taken out their navy, we've taken out their air force, we've taken out their leaders." Hegseth on April 8: "Epic Fury decimated Iran's military and rendered it combat ineffective for years to come. A capital V military victory." The DIA Director's written statement to Congress told a different story: "Iran retains thousands of missiles and one-way attack UAVs that can threaten U.S. and partner forces throughout the region." Pentagon spokesman Parnell's response was telling. He emphasized that 92% of Iran's largest navy vessels were destroyed and called it "the largest elimination of a navy over a three-week period since World War II." Notice what he didn't say. Nothing about the IRGC's fast-attack boats. Nothing about missile launchers recovered from underground bunkers. Nothing about the air force still being two-thirds operational. This matters for everything happening right now. Iran seizing ships today isn't a desperate last stand. It's a capable force operating within a preserved military framework. "Iran is defeated" is political messaging. The intelligence community is describing a different reality.

🇮🇩🇺🇸🇨🇳 The Iran war is teaching Indonesia a lesson, and the implications could reshape Asian trade forever... Indonesia's Finance Minister just floated the idea of imposing a toll on ships transiting the Strait of Malacca, explicitly citing Iran's Hormuz strategy as the inspiration: "If we split it three ways between Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore, it could be quite substantial. Our stretch is the largest and the longest." The Malacca Strait is the most important chokepoint in the world for East Asia. Middle Eastern oil reaches China, Japan, and South Korea through it. Global supply chains depend on it. And China gets 80% of its energy imports through this waterway. Singapore and Malaysia immediately rejected the idea. But the genie is out of the bottle. Iran demonstrated that a single country with coastal missiles and small boats can hold global shipping hostage. Every nation bordering a chokepoint is now doing the math on whether they could do the same thing. The strategic picture is clearer than most people realize. The U.S. signed a cooperation deal with Indonesia during the Iran war. American military cooperation in the region is expanding. The first island chain of Japan, Taiwan, and the Philippines gives Washington the tools to restrict Chinese access to the Malacca Strait if needed. Control the chokepoints and you control who gets what resources. That's the logic Trump is operating on, and Indonesia is watching carefully. China's dependence on foreign energy through narrow waterways is its greatest strategic vulnerability. If tensions with the U.S. ever escalate, Washington doesn't need to attack Beijing. It just needs to control Malacca. And Indonesia has just publicly signaled it's open to being part of that leverage structure for the right price. The Iran war may end up reshaping the financial architecture of every global chokepoint, from Hormuz to Malacca to Panama. Source: CNA, Fanack
