The breaking reports of the safe rescue of the F-15 WSO are a profound relief to every American. God Bless this brave servicemember who evaded capture in the most challenging circumstances and God Bless the special operations forces who put their lives on the line for this dangerous rescue mission. It is a deeply engrained patriotic value that Americans will to go to the ends of the earth (and beyond!) and do whatever it takes including risking it all to bring their fellow Americans home. So you are now a military expert? Our first President, George Washington, not only fired General Lee in the middle of a war, he fired him during a battle, and personally took command. Many generals have been fired during wars for incompetence. Instead of repeating things you know nothing about, try reading a book.

You don't fire generals in the middle of war unless you're planning to do something they do not agree with.

Until recently, Hamideh Soleimani Afshar and her daughter were green card holders living lavishly in the United States. Afshar is the niece of deceased Iranian Major General Qasem Soleimani. She is also an outspoken supporter of the Iranian regime who celebrated attacks on Americans and referred to our country as the "Great Satan." This week, I terminated both Afshar and her daughter's legal status and they are now in ICE custody, pending removal from the United States. The Trump Administration will not allow our country to become a home for foreign nationals who support anti-American terrorist regimes.
