@Brett_McMurphy I agree, Brett it’s strange. OU was the only OK Big 12 team and they are in the SEC now
English

@Hungoverdaily_ @MarineMountie @TomMarsLaw @jlkurtz Sorsby did it, not Tech. The ruling is what it is. The cases at the foundation are eligibility, so they’re the same. No one seems to take issue with the prime cause; the ncaa’s inconsistent application of rules. They opened the door.
English

@MarcSDunham @MarineMountie @TomMarsLaw @jlkurtz I don’t agree with the ruling on them, but their cases are completely different. They did it to get more playing time after juco and D2. Sorsby is doing it because he got caught gambling and cannot face the consequences of his own actions
English

If the Texas AG is really serious about suing the Big 12 for violating the federal antitrust laws, he’s not going to be able to litigate that claim before a state court judge. As a matter of law, that case would have to be litigated in a federal district court.
Ross Dellenger@RossDellenger
The Texas Attorney General sent a formal letter to the Big 12 today alerting the conference that Texas Tech would take action against any league sanction.
English

@Hungoverdaily_ @MarineMountie @TomMarsLaw @jlkurtz Where did I say he’s required to play him? He’s eligible. That’s it. That’s the order Tech’s following. He hasn’t PLAYED.
English

@MarcSDunham @MarineMountie @TomMarsLaw @jlkurtz Lmao buddy I’m not the one who thinks Texas tech is required by law to play Sorsby (who is still ineligible per NCAA and per the B12 bylaws)
English

@Hungoverdaily_ @MarineMountie @TomMarsLaw @jlkurtz The bylaws also state that you can’t beat up your gf, drive drunk, smoke weed, illegally recruit, etc and that gets violated all the time. While a different case, what about Chambliss and Pavia? They also got TIs to enable them to play.
English

@MarcSDunham @MarineMountie @TomMarsLaw @jlkurtz Except in the B12 bylaws, it specifically states that they have to abide by NCAA rules. One of those rules is you cannot place ANY bets, especially on your own team. Sorsby made almost 3,000 bets, including on and against his own team. There’s the wrongdoing lmao
English

@Hungoverdaily_ @MarineMountie @TomMarsLaw @jlkurtz So, u done nothing wrong! You can’t make a viable response that fits your agenda of sanctioning a team who hasn’t violated any rules, so resort to insults. That seems to speak more to your intelligence than mine.
English

@MarcSDunham @MarineMountie @TomMarsLaw @jlkurtz Is every tech fan a complete retard? The court is NOT and CANNOT order tech to play Sorsby. That is completely up to tech. IF they do play him, they are violation the B12 bylaws by violating the NCAA rule on a player gambling
English

@JohnHayesNews @jlkurtz Sanctioning Texas Tech for what? What rule have they violated? Sanction for a potential rule violation is stupid.
English

#BREAKING: Okla. Attorney General Gentner Drummond is asking the Big 12 to sanction Texas Tech following the Brendan Sorsby gambling fallout.
“My office stands ready to assist the Big 12 if Texas Tech's leadership attempts to punish the Conference for doing the right thing.”

English

@timpadams1 @CMTX281 And a court has allowed him to play. What has Tech done wrong?
English

It’s extremely rare if not totally unprecedented for virtually everyone in college sports to agree on anything, but excluding Texas Tech, it’s happening now with Sorsby.
However, in fairness to the Texas Tech fans, I really wonder how many other fans bases would also fight tooth and nail to try and justify that an admitted gambling addict athlete, who bet on his team, should get a slap on the wrist and a pat on the butt after a two game suspension.
English

@timpadams1 The court decided to give him a slap on the wrist not us. Why not blame the ncaa for their incompetence?
English

@On3 @AndyStaples This is stupid. Nobody asked for what TTU is doing right now. Few complained about their investment in their FB team. EVERYONE knows this current situation crosses the line and defending it is a joke.

NEW: Texas Tech gave commissioner Brett Yormark exactly what he asked for — a Big 12 team that separates from the pack🌵
Now, several Big 12 programs are calling for the conference to take action against the Red Raiders.
(via @AndyStaples)
Story: on3.com/news/commissio…

English

@On3 @AndyStaples Well, those other teams have a reason to want to sanction TT - it’s called breaking the rules for your own advantage. Should they just go along because TT has supposedly “done so much” for the league? Give me a break.
English

@On3 @AndyStaples Tech had one winning season in 20 and now they are “separate” from the pack?
They’re not there🤣

@MarcSDunham @Cougarlvr12 @TheAndyKatz Keep spinning my man. You guys need to read the room. This will be a case study on how to kill your brand in 7 days.

Texas Tech Makes Hypocritical Case for Brendan Sorsby’s Eligibility (hint: Tech and many others could have changed a rule for gambling on pro sports and voted not to do so. Read below): hoopshq.com/ncaa/texas-tec…
English

@jeffjeff360 @jlkurtz And what exactly has Tech done wrong?
English

@ptd008 @Cougarlvr12 @TheAndyKatz So basically: Tech hasn’t done anything wrong except in the court of public opinion but, deserves to be punished… 🤦♀️
English

@MarcSDunham @Cougarlvr12 @TheAndyKatz Aside from all the spinning on a black and white rule there is the all time worse pr campaign in history along with pissing off every school and cfb fan outside lubbock they have done nothing wrong.
