I know your view of “dead” is myopic. Numbers mean nothing. Jesus came to give Eternal Life (Abundant Life). He is Living Water. Many who profess to be saved in the Catholic Church are not saved at all. “On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’” Matthew 7:22-23 ESV It’s about having a relationship with Jesus. Be careful Jesus doesn’t say this to you. Examine yourself. Do you have a relationship with Jesus where He directs your steps and you commune with Him and follow Him by taking up your cross? What will He say?

@JuliaHB1 Much rather buy a school lunch for kids with my tax dollars than a billion dollars to Israel to bomb some other kids. It’s life vs death, and you fight for death.

The breakfasts are not free. They are paid for by taxes - mostly on parents who feed their own kids. Most of these 10,000 children would have had a perfectly healthy breakfast at home without these clubs. This isn't about helping the poorest kids, it's the state taking over the basic job of parenting.

Probably the stupidest post I've ever seen. Have you ever read the scriptures? The Catholic Church is a works based religion that will take you straight to hell. Only faith in Christ will let one have forgiveness of sins an eternal life. You obviously have not figured that out yet. Study the scriptures if you truly want to know God and have a relationship with him…

In Catholicism it’s socially unacceptable to exploit the labor of equals. Usury is a sin for us. These are things for confession.

@MiklRngr @TheStaad I do, Catholic praxis advocate humility, chastity, and poverty in the self but glory to God in the highest. Priests and nuns day to day dress in simple black or white. It’s their religious garments, temples to God, their altars and offerings that are *the best they can provide*.

Forgive me but I am confused. I certainly can see that some Monks and Nuns live quiet and sterile lives ... but the Pope and those surrounding him seem to be living in exceptional comfort and splendor. Did I miss your point? Truthfully, if I looked at Quakers or Amish or those like them ... they seem to be more focused on God than their own comfort. And they are Protestant. Also, statistics show that Evangelical Protestants give more in both money and time to charity than other Christian sects. Next comes Mainline Protestants. Last in our group is Catholics. Or do you have different information that contradicts what I understand?

One of the weirdest parts of when Catholicism ends up back in the headlines is finding out every Protestant denomination has some sort of specific and deeply held set of opinions about us when I grew not knowing the difference between a Lutheran and a Baptist.
