kinda wanna get a hobby in 2026. what is a good hobby for dads with no spare money and who only have free time in blocks that are 40 minutes or shorter and happen at completely unpredictable dates and times? it can’t be smoking cigarettes, thats way too expensive in CA these days
I knew the Woke Right was bad, seething with horrible ideologies, Crusader cosplaying, and fake Christianity. But I had no idea that the Woke Right would blow itself up quite like this: gender-bending Groypers, openly racialist "pastors," pro-abortion "heritage Americans."
I started weightlifting back in Dec. 2024. Had never touched a barbell before. 1st deadlift assigned was set of 5 was 175.
Today's 1RM is 405💪
What a journey it has been.
The Lord has been good to me.
@adam_t_james Cant both stories be true? He was in unrepentant sin that wasn’t disqualifying and the cancel culture mob within Mars Hill went after him. When he caved and fled, he entered into disqualifying unrepentant sin? As a member and Deacon at Mars Hills this is mostly where I landed.
I remember when we first discovered this data. It sounded too good to be true. We knew the percentage was high, but this is an unusually good statistic to celebrate. After tons of research over the last several months to verify the data, it’s something we simply need to thank God for. 87% of churches assessed by @Acts29 are still thriving after 10 years. Incredible.
@coconservative7 That should be the least of your worries about Sandals. You wouldn’t believe the amount of literal heresy taught there. Not to mention Matt’s enneagram book and constant teaching of it. It’s so so bad. I went there as a new Christian many years ago and am trying to get people out
Yes, the #SBC25 is full of mini episcopates masquerading as autonomous Baptist churches. So, your pastor can bring up to 11 votes with him, but JD Greear can bring 143 with him. And vision-casting CEO Matt Brown of Sandals church can bring even more.
@fshackel4d@Steadfast_Women@tnbaptist Has nothing to do with where I’m from, where you are from, or what board it is. It is a good thing to pray to the Lord that the board would be a reflection of the people it serves, but to take it into your own hands and be partial to a certain person over another person is sin.
@fshackel4d@Steadfast_Women@tnbaptist Need greater representation? No. Able to participate? Yes. Receive preferential treatment (favoritism)? No. Let the one who is most qualified and appointed by the Lord serve on the board.
@Steadfast_Women@tnbaptist Umm, yeah so I’m a white, male pastor who serves on that board. There are 150 people groups in TN & we need greater representation of ethnic TBC churches on our boards/comms. Shouldn’t ALL tribes, tongues, nations be able to participate in God’s work here?
@russle_p2@thatbrian@haymes_joshua I’m also looking at Tennessee and will be going there to scope out much of the state for about 9 days in May. Do you guys have any opinions or input about Chattanooga? It’s the one place that has been hard to figure out from a distance.
