There are people like me that worked and paid into SS for our at least 40 quarters but would not get paid what we EARNED because we had our teacher pension also. You see, teachers often have to supplement their income.

Nice spin. So the civil service folks who never had to pay in to social security and got larger retirements as a result, now get social security too, even though they never had to pay into it? Sounds like a typical democratic “expensive” win/hand out/drain on social security……..you guys suck. DOGE should be fun to watch.

Tonight, the Senate finally corrects a fifty-year mistake by passing the Social Security Fairness Act. Millions of retired teachers and firefighters and letter carriers and state and local workers have waited decades for this moment. No longer will public retirees see their hard-earned Social Security benefits robbed from them, thanks to this bill.
