My local Food Lion carries so many cuts like beef country ribs, chuck steaks, flakes ribs, roasts that are always marked down. Simple dry brine and a little practice goes a long way.

Rising beef prices have caused a profound shift in customer steak purchases lately. No longer is the ribeye numero uno in sales. People are buying a lot more NY strips and sirloins and I can’t say I blame them.

Bad news, Texas Roadhouse fans. Beware of restaurant "butter." I worked for 9 different restaurants in 28 years and EVERY SINGLE ONE mixed margarine with butter and pushed it off as "whipped butter." This is how they save on food cost. BYOB or ask for pats. Margarine is BS.
