There may be a new business model lurking here. Imagine an FAA-supervised “remote terminal” in Alpharetta, Georgia. Park for free, check your bag, go through security, and you’re in the TSA-controlled system. A bus takes you to Hartsfield-Jackson. You pay… I dunno. Eighty bucks round trip?

Today I published a 5,000 word article about how Bitcoin improves relationships, health, and the human spirit. Then I wrote a post about the $10.99 deal at Chilis. The post about Chilis went viral. (100k+ views so far) The 5,000 word article about Bitcoin is creeping along. (Few thousand views). Our society is completely f*cked. 🤦

The United States negotiated with the Wabanaki tribes to settle their land claims. It was fair, even-handed, even generous. Among other benefits, we gave them over $300 million in today's money. And ever since, the tribes have been trying to renege on their end of the deal.

The first bill I intend to introduce as Senator: true sovereignty for the Wabanaki tribes, whose rights have been trampled on for far too long, and the extension of federal beneficial laws.

@jkimballcook The judge says 10 seconds in that the attorney would be found in direct contempt of court if they interrupted her again. Not an attorney, but I think the judge acted fine. The prosecutor on the other hand was also out of line, though not nearly as bad as the defense attorney.

without first giving a clear directive and warning that not following it would result in contempt the deputies probably should have just told the lawyer to walk out with them first instead of going straight to cuffing the lawyer then continued to make it worse 2/

everybody involved in this looks bad imo the lawyer was unnecessarily belligerent to start the judge unnecessarily escalated the situation the lawyer then made it worse by continuing to argue with the judge the judge was wrong imo to say the lawyer was in direct contempt 1/

On this episode of "What Not to Do as a Lawyer"... he's gonna need a lawyer! 😂 Must be a liberal...after arguing with the judge IT pulls the “because I’m trans” card, then when found in contempt yelled “I can’t breathe” followed by a scream. 🤣

@N_A_R_K_media @cenkuygur @EchoOfPericles @joerogan By far the biggest reason Democrats lost, is their own utter incompetence. The American public looked at you and said "I'd rather have the orange dictator wannabe". That is YOUR failure, and not one thing has been learned as a result.

@cenkuygur @EchoOfPericles @joerogan No cenk, what lost the election was a combination of the public’s perception of the economy AND (most importantly for you) because Trump had been sanitized by the people you love so much that voting him in a second time didn’t carry the guilt it should have

I said a lot of people on the left were misunderstanding @joerogan and all the independent podcasters. They didn't agree with us on everything, but they weren't MAGA. Others said they were hard core MAGA extremists. Here's what Rogan just said about some of the people in MAGA, "a lot of them are dorks. A lot of them these really weird fucking uninteresting, unintelligent people." The world is not black and white. Everyone who disagrees with you on a couple of issues is not your enemy. People have been taught to hate one another. Especially if you're on the left, you have to break that cycle of hatred, rather than feed into it.

Crazy story at yesterdays @Mets game - Guy in section 121 had a heart attack and his wife started frantically yelling for help or a doctor or nurse to come over - One random guy in the section who said he was neither started doing chest compressions and saved the mans life. Eventually paramedics showed up to take over and assist the fallen man. The hero went back to his seat, sat down and watched the rest of the game with zero fanfare or attention. He just wanted to watch the Mets win. When the game ended he walked out like nothing had happened. Don't know his name but he saved a mans life and is a hero.

@HydroFoundry @dollarsanddata It's not one person with natural talent against another who had none, it's typically two people with natural talent that are competing with each other. The one with connections will go much, much farther than the one without.

Plenty of people start out with great connections, but nothing can replace hard work and skill building over time. If you give me someone who has natural talent that built their skills over a decade and they are pleasant to work with, I don't care how much the other person brown nosed their way to the top, the first guy is going to succeed over someone that didn't work.

A lot of this comes down to poorer kids just not knowing what to do. I didn't know that I had to apply for an internship in the WINTER of my sophomore year to get a sophomore summer internship to leverage into a junior summer internship to get a full-time offer senior year.

Like over 5-6 years. Counter sues. - We tell him he's nuts, just give him. - Today he just won Kudos, Joel!

@axiomalpha @thesamparr He would be entitled to recover the cost of the action under the Lanham Act (15 U.S.C. § 1117), especially as the infringement is willful and Impossible Foods "acted with oppression, fraud or malice" in its infringement.

@CRELeasingLawTX I had a $15/hr job in 2017 or so, and got offered a huge raise (~60%) to take another role somewhere else. There were other reasons I turned it down, but one of the biggest was that I had a private office and didn't want to work in a cubicle farm.

My first job out of law school was non-practicing at a big accounting firm. While I was there they did a huge buildout converting cubes and private offices to open, HOTEL seating (aka not even allowed to nest at your desk). I’ve always been against open floor plans, and I was NOT happy about it. Took some heat for criticizing it (not that my input mattered 😂). Was told it was the obvious, wonderful wave of the future. I quickly got a job at a law firm, where 99% of the time, lawyers have a private office with a door. When I was working at a small law firm a few years later, one of the partners had this crazy proposal to renovate our space into an open plan office. All of the associates (~5 of us) told the partner in no uncertain terms we would absolutely not be amenable to that and would immediately quit or find another job. He dropped that very quickly 😂 Love being right and hope private office space is really coming back en vogue
Amanda Askell@AmandaAskell

Tech companies pay millions of dollars for their employees and then stick them in open-plan offices that make it nearly impossible to get work done. Best strategy for poaching employees is probably to just offer them an office with a door.
