Disregard the fact that the Fever were going to lose to the Dream in the PREVIOUS. game until Kelsey took over. Caitlin was awful….as she has been since the end of her rookie year. Disregard the fact that Kelsey was the best player on this team in the PLAYOFFS last year. She gets NO respect and NO appreciation from Caitlin Clark fans for ANY of that. —————————————————— Last night, Kelsey was the ONLY player preventing this game from being over at the HALF. She was aggressive from start to finish. She attacked from start to finish. She competed defensively from start to finish. She was the ONLY player on the ENTIRE ROSTER who did all of the above. Did she miss some shots? Sure. Did she have some turnovers? Sure. She also realized that Caitlin was shell-shocked and hiding from the ball late in the 4th quarter after another terrible game, so she forced the issue. She HAD to force the issue. She went to war ALONE, and she almost pulled it out…..ALONE. When it comes to appointing the GREATEST EVER, it’s always Caitlin alone……….but after every terrible game from Caitlin, it suddenly becomes, “But what about Kelsey???!!” Did you see any iso plays drawn up to attack Kelsey at the end of last night’s game? No? Why was that?!! It is not Kelsey’s job to carry Caitlin. Caitlin needs to carry her own weight, and she has not done that since her rookie year. What about Kelsey???!!! Heck outta here.
